Draco's POV
"Still fast asleep?" Blaise whispered from across the room.
"Yes. Do you think I should wake him?"
"You will have to in a moment. Breakfast already started and I know he'll wake up starving," Blaise commented and I couldn't help but nod my head in agreement. "Where do you think we'll sit today?"
"We?" I questioned. The two of us were just about finished getting ready. Blaise was fixing his tie and I was getting my shoes on.
"Yes, no way am I allowing you to sit alone with the rest of those snake hating lions."
I smiled slightly at Blaise as a thank you. "I figured we'd let him sit with the Gryffindor's. I know Granger is dying to have some time with him and I'm sure the rest of his friends are worried. They didn't get to see him at all after the incident."
"Yeah, especially since we decided to eat dinner in here last night, mostly because Harry was pretty much falling asleep in your lap," He said with a wink.
I rolled my eyes at his antics. "Oh shove off!" I said, but not loudly, last thing I want to do is scare the boy awake. "Maybe we'll trade off where we sit regularly. Until Harry gets to know the others more and then he can decide," I suggested, standing up and going to the bed not far from mine that held the sleeping Harry Potter.
"Oh, so it's Harry now?" Blaise mocked.
"Blaise," I warned. I looked over at the peaceful Harry fast asleep in his small sized bed that was more meant for his age. He had Gryffindor blankets and wore a grey shirt with red pajama bottoms that had golden snitches all over them. He looked peaceful, even if he was slightly curled into a fetal position. I'm not entirely sure that is normal for someone to be sleeping in.
I leaned over and gently rubbed Harry's back with my hand and whispered quietly. "Harry," I called. The boy stirred slightly and whined. Not ready to be woken. "Harry, it's time to wake up," I said just as quietly before.
I doubt he has had a chance to wake up in a nice, calming fashion. Considering who his aunt and uncle are.
Harry turned and rubbed his eyes looking up at me. I watched the tears bubble in his eyes and it sent a wave of shock down my spine. "Harry, what's wrong?" I asked the boy, now kneeling on the ground in front of him.
Harry rubbed his eyes some more and I grabbed his shrunken glasses from off the table and gave it to him. He slipped them on and sat up in bed. His eyes were still dotted with tears and his cheeks were red.
"I sowwy," He mumbled, wiping the last of his tears away.
Blaise came over slowly and sat beside me. "Did you have a nightmare?" He asked in a gentle voice.
Harry shook his head. "No. I thought fow a moment, this was a dream." He said.
I scrunched up my eyebrows. "What do you mean, Harry?"
"I thought you were a dream and I was gonna wake up wif my aunt and uncle," He explained with a small whimper.
"Oh no, Harry. I promise we are not a dream and we are not going anywhere," I told him. I was saddened by the boys statement and I felt awful. Harry had it worse than I did and I only ever added to it. Every fiber of my body was convinced that he deserved it, that his life was too perfect for me to come in and ruin. I was wrong and I regret it now. No one deserves to go through what Harry did.
"Otay." He sniffed and rubbed his eyes some more. His stomach growled loud enough for us to hear and he turned red in embarrassment.
I laughed lightly. "Sounds like someone needs some food." I stood up and held out my hand. "Come on, lets get you ready and then we can head down to the Great Hall for breakfast."
