A story of a high school girl and a dare to go to the forbidden basement................. the basement ,no one has ever been to ,holds the secrets of the long lost kingdom......
"Yeah mom I packed everything!! You don't have to worry about me! I'm not a kid anymore!" Ree said. I laughed as I saw her rolling her eyes and mimicking her mom. "I swear if I get any complaint from them I'll throw all you're k-pop stuff in the dumpster. So you better behave." Mrs Rae said. "Okay mom, we got it. We're going to be late. We'll leave now." Ree said with a cheeky smile. "Hmm bye. Take care and you too Stephanie." Mrs Rae said with a smile. "Don't worry Mrs Rae! I'll take care of myself as well as this stupid daughter of yours!" I said, making Mrs Rae laugh.
Few minutes later......
Ree's POV
We arrived at Eli's As soon as we stepped in her mom greeted us with a huge smile and so did we returned
"Hello Mr and Mrs qureshi" the both of us greeted. Mrs qureshi was sitting in the dinning table having 'RICH' breakfast with her husband "Hello kids how are you come have some breakfast with us" she said with a huge smile...aww she's so sweet I love her but her husband is such a rude person who can't even talk nicely.Mr qureshi rolled his eyes "Enough with the breakfast.. Get yourself movin' , we don't have all day.." He said with his emotionless eyes.
We put all the suitcases in the mini Van and grabbed a seat with some snacks and a karaoke mic. "I'll sing first as I have the mic!" Nate said with a huge smile. "Nope you're not! I'll sing first!" Steph said. "What the- I already said I'll take the mic!" Nate replied. "You selected a song yet?"Steph asked, Nate replied with a nod, "exactly! I've already decided the song and imma sing it now so shoo.." she said and shooed Nate away. We all took turns and played and sang and danced during this lil journey. Soon we reached the qureshi's other house and decided that we'll stay in one room and will leave the rest for Mr & Mrs Qureshi and also I remember Eli telling us that her uncle and aunt will be coming so spend the vacations with us so they will get one room as well.

"*Sigh* Finally we're here!! I can't wait to spend my vacations like a princess!!" Eli said in an exciting tone. "This place is so beautiful and it even has a pool!?! A freaking pool!?! Steph, Ree you see this!?" Nate screamed in excitement. "Oh....no we didn't see it...cause we are the only ones helping Eli's Mom and dad with these suitcases!" I yelled while carring a big suitcase out of the mini van.
"Let's get these moving guys, we don't have much time..I'm hungry." Steph said with her hands on her waist. We helped each other with the suitcases,unpacked our stuff,took shower one by one and settled down in our PJs. "We got the biggest and prettiest room of this mansion. Thanks to your mom and dad, Eli. Now I'm getting a feeling you know, that cool friends vaca vibes!" I said to which others agreed.
"I've always wanted to go on a trip with my friends and now that it's finally happening, I'm so happy!" Eli said with a huge smile. "Me too. My parents never agreed to the idea of me being alone on a trip with my friends... They would argue and I'll be like, when I'm going with my friends how am I going alone??" Nate said in a funny tone that made us laugh.
"Kids, come downstairs for dinner." Eli's Mom said with a smile. We ran downstairs and to the dinning room. I sat beside Steph as we both eat from the same plate. During the dinner we talked about what we wanted to do in these vacations and we told Eli's Mom what we have planned.
{A Few Days Later...}
Theses few days, we been having so much fun. We went to a nearby waterfall site, took some pictures, went to a countryside restaurant which had some delicious food that we all really enjoyed. We played in our pool, Nate and I almost drowned while playing water vollyball. Eli's uncle and aunt also came and helped with the food preparations for a pool party. We all had a great time.
It's bedtime now. All the elders have fallen asleep but are we tho? Nope.. cause we are sitting in the pillow fort that we made in the middle of the room with Eli telling us something about this house.
"So guys... I got to know or I overheard that this house's basement has this secret door that hasn't been opened since 1997 which was when this house was made... I heard my parents say that the basement used to have a room with all the antiques that my grandparents owned but after they passed away, mom and dad decided to lock the door and to never let anyone enter it..." Eli said. "That's weird. Why can't anyone enter that place? Is it haunted or something?" I asked.
"It's not haunted but they just said that there's nothing in there so it's not worth the sweat. I asked uncle and he said that we could see the basement but we won't find anything special there." Eli replied. "Well then it's decided. We're going to visit this basement right now. Let's go!" Steph said as she stood up.
"What!? RN?? Don't you think we should take a look tomorrow in the morning when there's light, sunshine, brightnes-" Nate stopped when Steph pulled her up and left the room arguing with her. Me and Eli looked at each other and followed them as we really didn't had any choice. Cause if we didn't agreed, she would've made us agree or blackmail us into going to the basement. So why waste your energy when you can just choose the easy path.
