I'm Very Adorable, So I'm Going To Beat Up Some Demonic Knights

"So, you're telling me that this," Luna gestured to my avatar, "Is my best friend?"

"Yeah." I answered.

Luna buried her face in her lap and let out a large sigh. "Just what is going on here?"

The king had let us take a break in guest rooms inside the palace so that we could calm down and hopefully regain our reason, or that's what he said.

After the commotion over being summoned and then realizing, "Hey, one of our classmates in now not human!" and all of that, everyone was exhausted. Especially me. I wasn't exactly comfortable in this new body!

"I still can't wrap my head around this! How exactly did this all happen? And why do you look like a freakin' anime character?" Luna exclaimed.

"I do not look like an anime character! My avatar is a member of the exotic race of Dragons!" I huffed.

"Okay, so not an anime character. Being a dragon makes it so much better. I don't care what it is, all I know is that it isn't your body!"

"Luna..." I tried.

"To top it off you're a loli dragon warrior or something, and it's totally weirding me out!" She interrupted.

"Meanie! I look adorable!" I retorted.

"Not really... but it's hard to believe that my best friend suddenly looks like a completely different person. I don't mean to be rude or anything, I'm just extremely stressed currently." She apologized.

"It's fine. I get why everyone's nervous. It's not like anyone has every participated in a summoning before." I stated.

"You make this sound as if you have participated in a summoning before." She got up real close to my face. "Have you?"

"No. I've never been in one. This is a first time experience for me too."

She threw her hands up in the air in exasperation. Luna's brain had gone off the charts. While I understood being a little bit nervous about being summoned, I couldn't grasp the thinking that we shouldn't do anything while we were here. I mean, people were sacrificed in order to summon us.

Since that was the case, it made sense if we were the ones helping out these people. What else were we supposed to do here? Wait until we were killed along with everyone else? That didn't seem like fun.

"Welp, Ima go talk King Xavier. At the very least, I'm going to start doing things around here. I'm bored just sitting around." I said.

"Eh!? Phoebe, no, just no! You could die if you decided to help these strange beasts! They aren't even human!" Luna protested.

"Human? Why would you want them to be human? In this world, humans are disgusting, vulgar, wild, psychotic creatures." I shivered. "There is no way I would want them to be human. The monsters and beast people are much more humane."

"Still, wait!" She begged. "How do you know that?"

I ignored her and walked out of the room. I navigated this castle many times when I played the game, so finding the throne room was a walk in the park. Easier than a piece of cake.

I pushed open the doors to the throne room, revealing a bunch of unnecessarily startled people who pointed their weapons at me. When the saw who had entered, the lowered their weapons, but still kept them out.

"You're the one they called Phoebe, are you not? What brings you here all by yourself at this time?" King Xavier inquired.

"Nothing much, except to ask what I can do to get started." I told him.
