The walk back to the house is quite neither one of us say a word. Devon stops in his tracks causing me to nearly walk into him I follow his gaze to the pathway and standing there in the middle of the pathway is him.....

"No." I blurt out. "No, no, no, no. " it can't be he couldn't have known, how did he find me. I take a few steps back in panic.

"Hello Rose, Devon." His forest green hood covers his face except his mouth, his stupid smirking mouth.

"Clayton." Devon says. I look at Devon, how did he know who Clayton was? I've never mentioned him, does he know him? "Did you miss me Rose?" Clayton taunts moving his head to the side to show off one of his green eyes, green the color of my own eyes I hate those eyes. I hate my own eyes even though mine are emerald and his are grass colored with specs of dirt in them. I used to crave those eyes, I learned to hate them. I think, looking back at them I remember why i loved them so much. He's the only one who loves me, no one else does or ever will.

"No!" I practically scream out, coming back to my senses "I will never miss you." I snap, Clayton frowns, giving me a small pout. "Aww come on we had so much fun together ." Clayton takes a few steps towards me "didn't we Rose? If you think hell ever care for you you're wrong Rose, I'm the only one who would ever care for you." I flinch his voice was no longer playful and light it turned darker.

Devon steps in front of me. "You will not touch her, she's with me." Clayton frowns, looking real annoyed. "You sure about that?" He asks Im sure he's debating a fight right now as he eyes Devons sword in hand.

"Yes," Devon says "I'm sure." His hand hovering above the sword Clayton was eyeing. "Alright fine I'll allow it for now, but just remember Devon you owe me one. shell see soon enough what she always sees. That I'm always right" Clayton steps out of the way and allows us to pass him smiling as we hurry down the path.

"What did he mean, you owe him?" I had other questions, but that caught me. Devon owned him something? We're they friends? They obviously new each other, but I couldn't believe they would be friends the way they spoke to each other it sounded like they hated each other. "Nothing, don't worry about it." Devon grumbles stomping off home.
