Everyone has been so weird lately no one will tell me anything they all shut me out. They've all been having small meeting together, every time I try and listen in they stop and talk about something else. Today Devon asked if I wanted to go on a hike I agreed, I needed out of that house. We now walk silently through the woods, he seems really off today. I quietly listen to all the birds soaring through the air.

"Where are we going?" I ask. "There's a mountain we're going to." He tells me. Great climbing, Devon soon stops at the base of the mountain. It's huge but beautiful looking the top has more snow covering it but the bottom you can see more rock. "Up we go." He says. I follow him up a path around the mountain we take multiple breaks between climbing. It seems the farther we proceed up the mountain the more anxious Devon gets.

"What's at the top?" I ask him. He shrugs, "The end of the road." I frown why were we going up here for nothing? Maybe the view is nice. "Hopefully the trip down is easier than the trip up." I joke smiling. Devon pauses a little. "Yeah." Is all he says. No humor at all. We're about half way up now and the air is much thicker, but the view is amazing everything is so small it's like we're giants. I close my eyes the air whips around my face my hair flys around. The top of the mountain must be amazing.

"Where almost there!" I smile at Devon. He doesn't return the smile. I wonder what's up with him, this is such a good trip. I'm finally out of that stuffy house and he gets a break from it all too.

"Princess." He says softly. "Yeah?" He stops and thinks about his words. "It's all going to be okay." I frown looking at the grave expression on his face."What?" Why did he say that?

"I'm not the hero you want me to be Princess." He looks at me his eyes are sad. "I'll always be the villain in the story."

I can see the top of the mountain and right there my heart breaks in a thousand pieces. I look at Devon. "You, you brought me out here for a reason, you....." I start to break down. He looks like he wants to reach out to me, to calm me but he stops himself.

"You actually did it." Clayton laughs. "And here I thought I'd have to do more work." No, no,no I can't. This is a nightmare a bad, bad nightmare I can't relive again.

"How could you! Devon PLEASE please Devon why!" Tears stream down my face. Everything inside me is breaking, I know why I'm here. I know why he brought me here, Claytons just here to finish his promise to me, the promise he made so long ago.

"Rose you will not survive, I will kill you."

That day he stood over me with a sword in his hand and watched me break in front of him, that day I thought I would die I thought I would lie there forever broken and forever dead. That day I didn't die, I was saved by a figure, a man who taught me I could live and I could be happy. A man who taught me love and friendship. He saved me in so many ways only to be the man who broke me.

I didn't want to be broken anymore. I hadn't realized it but i was broken and all those days with Devon, and Phil, and even Ryan they put me back together. But here i stand beside Devon and he's holding the hammer this time, and he's ready to break me beyond repair.
