'Dear Dave Strider.' The pencil, roughly gripped ahold between the young trolls fingers. 'I want to get to know you.' The troll looked closely at the written page and quickly crumbled it.
"THAT WAS... STUPID." He heavily sighed. The enclosed dark room of misery.
"CAT." He spoke once more. "CAT. THATS,, SUCH AN IDIOTIC NAME DAMNIT." His friend John Egbert turned to him.
"I don't think it was. Sounds pretty humane like to me!" The human smiled.
"YEAH BUT." Karkat groaned. He looked down at his dark grey hands in disgust. "YOU KNOW JOHN. WHY COULDN'T I BE,, HUMAN?" He stared back at the crumbled up ball of paper, lying his head on the desk.
"What do you mean?" John asked.
"WHAT I MEAN IS.. I don't want to be different you know?" He grabbed the paper again and messed with it in his hands.
John sighed. "You're,, You're not that different. You still have human like attributes. Apart from your,, uh grey skin and horns."
Karkat pulled himself up and out of the chair. "THATS THE POINT. I don't want to have this stuff, John. I want to be or look human damnit."
"Well Cat,, maybe I could help you fit in more?"
