27. Two new Citizens

After a few more minutes.
Naruto finally calmed down,
His sobs got lower and lower until it was gone.
His bottled up emotions was soothingly removed by Kaida, completely brightening him up.

Sasuke clenched kaida's handkerchief on his pockets.
He planned to return it but ended up keeping it to himself.

The uchiha was shy.
Shy.
Shy to return a single handkerchief to his female friend.

He just shoved naruto away from kaida after minutes of refraining himself to injure naruto, as that would cause him a bad image from kaida.

"Huh-" Kaida got cut off as sasuke wiped kaida's cheeks that was tainted by naruto's tears.

Kaida could hardly pay any mind to that.
How the heck can she?
Sasuke's face was dangerously close to her own.

Come on dude.
You're just wiping someone's face, what's with the trespassing of personal space?

"Oi! Teme! What was that for huh?!"
Naruto angrily pointed at sasuke.

It might not look like it,
But sasuke shoved naruto away from kaida,
Way too hard.

The said boy only took a short glance at the blonde before clicking his tongue and looked away.

"Uh- anyways, what were you two doing earlier?" Kaida changed the topic, avoiding the possible incoming fight.

"huh?- oh yeah! We're training to climb the top of the tree with no hands! And I can do it no problem! Believe it!" Naruto grinned widely, boasting a false information on the last part.

Seems like he was desperate to get a compliment from kaida.

"Really?"

"Yea!-"

"No" Sasuke intervened, denying the last part of Naruto's sentence earlier.

"Teme!-"

"What? Care to prove it?"

Naruto clenched his fist.
He knew he couldn't prove it since he was actually still having a hard time maintaining his chakra and finish the assigned training.

He felt disappointed,
Not because he didn't have progress on the training.
But because he couldn't get Kaida's compliment solely for him.

Kaida internally sighed at this.
She already knew their situation, asking that just to avoid a fight.
But it seems that it turned to naruto sulk in disappointment instead.

"Climbing trees using stable chakra, right?"
Kaida pulled the two, close to each other and placed her hand on their backs
"I'll help."

She let some of her chakra flow on her hands and carefully intertwined it with their own chakra paths to their chakra core.
helping their chakra stabilize and flow smoothly while on use.

"Done. Go try it"
She waved her hands, motioning for them to continue their training.

They trusted her ability,
nodding their heads and continued on what they were doing.
Naruto ran towards the tree and hastily climbed it up with chakra on his feet.
