A woman dressed in red was covering up the black eye her husband left for her. She hated him, but she also feared him. Now she had to fear him as he knew about their son. He knows that he isn't really his son. No, he is the son of Alexander Hamilton, the man who James forced her to have an affair with in order to blackmail him for money.
Speaking of the baby boy, he started to cry as all babies do. She immediately rushed to him & gently rocked him. When that didn't work, she tries humming for him. He soon smiled & fell right back to sleep. This put the new mother at ease.
"Don't worry, I will protect you, & some day, you'll blow us all away, Philip. "
