Qibli returned to Winter's room, where he was resting after his incident, the next day.
"Hey," Qibli said quietly. He watched as Winter's eyes brightened at the sight of Qibli. "I brought you something to eat, I figured you must be hungry."
"Mmh," Winter groaned. He felt... weak, weaker than usual."What happened yesterday?" Winter mumbled, sitting up on his haunches to get a better view of what was happening.
"We have no idea," Qibli sighed, "but Moon thinks you had a seizure. For a moment, I thought you might've had rabies. You could have infected me!""You'd be fine." Winter furrowed his brows. "Can you really get rabies from sex?"
"No, but the way you were biting my neck, maybe." Qibli pointed out, handing Winter a portion of Walrus.
"Did you eat yesterday?"Qibli was quiet, he ignored the question. "Qibli," Winter growled, "did you eat?"
"No, you don't have lizards," The SandWing hissed back. "And whatever you eat is too heavy for me."
"You could have asked me where they were," Winter huffed.
At this, Qibli perked up, "you have some?""Of course."
"Why didn't you tell me before?"
"You never asked."
"Makes sense," Qibli yawned. "I'm pretty tired."
"When was the last time you ate?" Winter pressed, setting his Walrus aside.
"I don't know, probably a couple weeks ago."
"Weeks!?" Winter roared. "You know you should be eating more frequently than that! No wonder you're tired."
"Well, also from the... activities... that took place yesterday."
Winter frowned. "Don't bring that up. That was embarrassing."
"You think I'm embarrassing?" Qibli flicked his tail.
"No, what I did yesterday was embarrassing." Winter grumbled."Yeah, so I'm embarrassing?" Qibli said slyly.
Winter glared at Qibli with a puzzled expression, looking the SandWing up and down until it finally clicked. His cheeks flushed, turning a deep shade of blue. "Don't say that! What is wrong with you — you and your dirty jokes!"
"Me? You're talking," Qibli barked of laughter. "I expected you to catch in faster, seeing how many dirty jokes you make."
"I don't make that many," Winter frowned. They sat in silence before the IceWing spoke again. "But seriously, you need to start eating more. Go get you some lizards, they're in a glass bowl with polar bear on it."
Qibli stood in the door way for a few moments before turning to look at his beloved... or whatever you may want to call him. "Thanks, Winter."
408 words!!! Sorry this is so short, I wrote this at like... 9:41 pm. That's late, for my old lady self. 😂 I promise you, they'll start to get longer as the story progresses. It'll take time, as I just got back from my hiatus!! Ugh, this chapter was so cheesy in my opinion, feel free to skip lmao. And do you KNOW how hard it was to refrain from typing 'idk' instead of 'I don't know.'
