We stayed close together as we wondered the crowded marketplace. The stalls were decorated to the brim with foreign Jewels and Treasures.

Most of the items were fake, made out of cheap look-alike materials. Sasuke made a 'Hn' of disapproval as he observed the same stall as I was.

We turned around to continue moving when a old woman blocked our path. Her eyes showed happy memories and she smiled as she looked at us side by side.

"What a lovely couple you are," she reached into her bag and pulled out a paper flower, which she handed to Sasuke, "treat her well son."

I was left dumbfounded. The idea of us being a couple felt unnatural. Sasuke stared at the white lily that the woman gave.

He looked away when he spoke, "Here, you take it, I have no use of it."

I felt the corner of my lips curl upwards as I took the flower. I paused at a mirror and placed it neatly in my hair.

I caught the Uchiha staring at the flower in my hair and I felt my cheeks turn red slightly.

What am I doing? This is embarrassing..
Stay calm Hinata! Your mission buddies nothing more or less.

I suddenly felt another pair of eyes on me, the murderous kind, and I activated my Byakugan. I cautiously looked around, being as subtle as possible.

Sasuke was by my side almost immediately, his sharingan activated.

"Let's get to a place that will attract less attention." He whispered, and I nodded.

We walked side by side, alerted and constantly searching. We finally strayed into a quiet alleyway.

"We're surrounded." I said as we turned back to back , waiting for our enemies to reveal themselves.

About 10 men, armed, came from behind the walls. One of them stepped forward.

"Your Ninja's from the Leaf. We know your here about the weapon trade. We won't allow it."

Before we had time to respond I was attacked from my side, being knocked off my balance.

Sasuke attacked, giving me time to stand up and back him up.

A kunai was thrown towards me but I dodged it, throwing my own back.

I heard the sound of swords slashing against eachother and I knew we had the upper hand. Within minutes we had  defeated all the men, leaving as much evidence or damage behind. They were in no state to move, let alone tell anyone we were coming.

I relaxed my eyes and so did Sasuke, putting our weapons away. One man was still conscious and I took advantage of it.

I walked towards him and bent down, lifting his head up from under his chin.

"Who told you to infiltrate us?"

The man groaned and stuttered a reply, "The man himself."

Sasuke questioned from afar, "Where is he heading to next."

"To the Sand Village."

Me and Sasuke exchanged glances, we wouldn't be able to reach there in time if we stayed in this place any longer. We had to leave now.

"Don't you think it's weird an ex-anbu member is now working in the illegal trade industry?" I asked out of the blue.

"I'm not agreeing for his actions but I guess everyone has their reasons for something."

I pondered deeper as I jumped across another stream.

Why could one have chosen to work with their enemies? It didn't make sense. But I thought back to the man himself. Sasuke was an average boy, of course until the slaughtering of his clan, which was the turning point of his life.

I felt an arm wrap around my waist, pulling me back. I only then realised we were at the edge of a valley. My feet just hanging off the edge.

I could feel Sasuke's breathe against my ear, my heart beated faster. I felt my cheeks turning red. "I- You can let go now..."

Sasuke let out a little 'oh' and let me go, grunting. "Guess that Byakugan truly is useless for someone like you."

I ignored him. He truly was still a boy at heart.

"You still have your little cheek from our academy days!" I retorted, pouting a little.

"Is that so bad? You prefer the dark villainous side of me?" He said, following me as we walked around the valleys edge.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head, grinning to myself afterwards.

I couldn't remember the last time I truly felt this happy. No fake smiles and attempts to get out of conversations. No.
The one person I least expected, made it happen. Did I find him? Was this what you felt when you fell in love mom?

Some how, I could see her smile in my head. When I looked back , staring into his eyes , I saw that same shooting star from the first night we met.

This is what they call love I suppose.
