Katelyn's POV

Today was the day. The day I have been dreading for the past 10 years. The day I face my family at Erica's wedding.

I always looked up to Patrick and wanted to play hockey just like him. However, he was better so he got the attention from everyone. This encouraged me to work harder until Patrick got an amazing opportunity to play with a different team that would help get his name out there. This required him to move away at such a young age. Me being his little sister, I begged him not to go. I couldn't lose my brother, best friend, and hero. Patrick noticed my interest in hockey and wanted me to also be the best. He decided not to take the opportunity and stop playing hockey so my family would focus more on me. My family did not approve of this and resented me for stopping Patrick on following his dreams. My parents stopped all of the funding for me to play hockey so I was forced to quit. Once Patrick moved to Canada to play on the London Knights, he brought me with. I haven't been back since.

"Are you ready?" Patrick asked picking up the suit cases. I shook my head no but continued to follow him out to the car. Erica's wedding was tomorrow so Patrick and I decided to fly out today and stay in a hotel.

"Hey, it's okay. You know I'll be by your side the whole time." Patrick said. We were the last people to get off the plane. I continued to sit in my seat. "Come on."

I slowly got out of the seat. The last time I saw Jessica was the night Auston picked me up and I found out about his and Patrick's "deal". She started yelling at me and Patrick told me I had to leave before I could defend myself.

I got a text from Auston.

'Hey you should be landing about now. Just remember if things don't go well you have all of us'

I smiled at the text and got the courage to get off the plane.

Patrick and I sat outside Erica's house where the bridesmaids were meeting to get ready for the wedding.

I stood closely behind Patrick as he knocked on the door. My breathing started to get heavy and it felt like we waited hours before someone answered.

"Oh my god! You're here!" Erica opened the door. She pulled Patrick into a hug and then me. I quickly examined the rest of the room seeing my mom and my other 2 sisters watching from a distance.

"Hi Patrick!" My mom called from far away. He stood by my side and greeted her from a distance.

"So the dresses are right here." Erica dragged me away from Patrick to show me what we would be wearing. "Here's my wedding dress."

"Oh wow, it's beautiful." I smiled at the white dress hanging from the wall.

"Okay girls! It's time to get ready." Erica yelled. Everyone began to join us slowly.

"I didn't think I'd ever see all of my children together again." My mom softly said under her breath. I didn't know how to react so I turned to look at Patrick.

"Don't think Patrick can save you from everything." Jessica rolled her eyes.

"You guys promised.." Erica sadly said.

"You're right baby, I'm sorry." My mom said and began helping her put her dress on. I grabbed my dress and went to the bathroom so I can change.

Once I got out, everyone had their dresses on. I stood next to Patrick waiting for my next instructions.

"Where's dad?" I asked Patrick.

He shrugged as a response.

"He doesn't want to see you either girl." My sister Jackie said.
