Michonne had agreed to ride in my place on Daryl's motorcycle while I took his horse and placed Emily's body on it. We had just arrived at the large prison gate, which opened in front of us in a few seconds. I rode past the motorcycle and stopped in the middle of the courtyard under the astonished eyes of some.

I was getting off the horse and teaching myself to take Emily's body when Rick, as Michonne had taught me, approached me with a nasty look on his face.

-We told you to stay in your cell!

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Daryl approaching us but I was quicker than he was and moved closer to Rick pointing at him.

-You better shut up, I don't take orders from you! I'm not one of your henchmen so you keep your morals to yourself!

I turned my back on him and this time I grabbed my daughter's body that I had wrapped in a sheet and walked towards the graves that Michonne had indicated to me earlier in the day.

-Wait, June, I'll help you.

I glanced at Michonne to let her know to stay in her place and kept walking.

-It's my job to take care of it, only mine.

I don't know how long I had been digging the damn grave, but it was already dark. I removed the sheet from around his body and took off his bracelet, which I then put on my wrist. Then I put her back in the sheet before putting it in the grave.

I had then replaced the land on his body before seeing him disappear under this heap of land. And I had finally placed a cross with his name in the ground in front of his grave.

I had been sitting there for a few minutes now, in the grass right in front of his grave, thinking. A woman with short gray hair had come to bring me a plate. Her name was Carol, she told me. But I didn't touch the plate because I wasn't hungry at all.

I sat there all night waiting for the dawn to come. When it did, I saw Daryl, Michonne, Rick and a young boy coming out of C Block.

-June? Where are you going?

I turned my head to Michonne.

-You'd better get that damn gate open.

She frowned, but as she was about to speak she was cut off by Rick.

-June I just wanted to say I'm sorry about yesterday, I didn't know what happened, you're welcome to stay here if you want.

I nodded my head but resumed my walk to the gate.

-That's nice, but I don't plan on staying.

-So it's like that, huh? You're just gonna walk away like nothing happened?!

I turned to Michonne and glared at her.

-How dare you?! You're the one who kept me from getting out of that damn prison when she was out there alone! If you had let me out sooner I might have been able to save her, damn it!

-You couldn't have done anything June, the governor had killed her and imprisoned her in that cage like he did with his daughter.

-So I have to find him.

Michonne huffed, but this time it was Rick who spoke up.

-There's no point in looking for him, he attacked us a few days ago, by now he's probably long gone. You should stay here with us.

-I'm not cut out to be in a group.

Daryl frowned.

-Oh yeah, and in Woodbury you were by yourself maybe?
