Derek's POV

"Claudia, you have been brought before the court today because you committed the unforgivable crime of murdering another being. In this particular case, he was of vampire origin." The heads of the dark being council were sitting in front of us, Claudia was directly before them as the leader, a vampire named Beau Florence spoke "The vampire's name was Romeo Amir. Claudia, what was your reasoning for committing this crime?"

Claudia stayed calm and said "He was viciously murdering humans with no reason, I had tried to help him but he attacked me," she pulled her sleeve up to show vicious bite marks that were unlikely to heal quickly as they were made by another dark being. "In response to his attack, I fought back leading to his death." Claudia was blunt with her words and tried to stay strong under the penetrating glares of the dark beings.

"Then why did you run away from the council?" he asked. "Because there was a war going on, I didn't believe you would truly listen to my reasons and you would have just killed me."

"Your reasons are unjustified, dark beings need to kill humans to survive. Another thing is that you didn't bring your new recruit here to the court, that is against our laws. All new beings must take the pledge in which means they are truly a part of the dark beings." Claudia looked at me guiltily. "For these crimes you shall be put to death, tomorrow you shall die."

At this Claudia ran towards me, grabbed my hand and ran, she kept running until we had reached a cabin in the woods, it looked familiar, it was the same cabin from when I had first become a werewolf.

"Derek, you can't believe anything they say, do not kill unless you have to. They will catch me, but they can't have you. I have a friend who lives a few villages over, its a place called Beacon Hills. His name is John Stilinski, he isn't a dark being but if you tell him I sent you and he shall help you. You can trust him, now go." I pulled her into a hug "Goodbye," I whisper. I run to the town of Beacon Hills.
