Y/n's pov
I was sitting near the pond of the Estate. I stared down at the koi fish that swam around in it. My kimono was off me slightly so I could bask in the sun's rays.
It's been a week since I was introduced into the Hashiras. So far none of them spoke to me. Sanemi always glares at me which isn't too shocking. I didn't mind really I gotten use to people not speaking to me or sent hateful stares my way. Anyway liked I said none of the Hashira's approached me, but one has been watching me. She is referred to as the Love Pillar, Mitsuri Kanroji. I caught her a few times staring at me, her green eyes were never filled with disgust or hatred more like curiosity and admiration? It confused me greatly.
"How are you settling in", a voice asked making me turn my head around a bit to look to see who it was. It's was the butterfly hasira, Shinobu Kocho.
"I'm settling in fine", I answered turning back around. Shinobu let out a small hum then sat down beside me. I looked back at her seeing she was staring at me, her eyes like a purple ocean. If stared too long you'll drown in them.
"The others will come around eventually", she spoke. I blinked at her then looked back down at the pond. "It doesn't matter really", I replied. "It does, we are the Hashira after all we should be least aquatinted with one another", she explained. "I guess", I replied. "You sure are a weird one", she commented. "So do you have to feed them", she questioned motioning to the snakes in my hair. "No when I replenish myself they do as well", I explained. "When I do go hungry I do have to feed myself or they'll act hostile", I explained. "Interesting, I'm surprise Obanai hasn't spoke to you yet", she replied. "He is the snake pillar", she added.
"He probably is still uncomfortable with he fact I'm half demon", I stated. "Even if I just born not raised by one, they will still consider me one", I explained. "Even so some aren't as uncomfortable by that fact than others", she replied. I gave her a comnfused look. She motioned her head a bit in a specific direction. I looked to where she motioned at seeing the love pillar again spying on us. She quickly began acting like she was admiring the plants. It was obvious she was spying in on us. The girl looked at us and began waving at us. Shinobu gave her a small wave back I just stared then looked away.
"I should get going now, again welcome to the Hashira", Shinobu said standing up and dusted herself off. "Thank you", I replied. Shinobu tilted her head giving me a closed eyed smile then walked away. I watched as she did then looked back at the pond. I looked back over again seeing the love pillar staring at me once more, her cheeks turned red when we made eye contact. She shyly waved at me hoping I waved back. I nodded my head at her. Never in my life have I seen someone get overly happy from just a nod.
