"What did you do?" I questioned Feyre. Well, it was more a demand than a question.
"What did you expect me to do" she said, with a tone equally as harsh.
"I expected you to wait for me, and not barter your life to another High Lord. One that hates yours with a passion."
She just sighed, not bothering to look at me.
"Where were you?" she questioned. "When I woke up you were gone."
"Amarantha was fed up with me" I told her, wincing from a still bleeding cut. She wouldn't be able to tell though. Since she was human, she couldn't smell the blood, and it was definitely too dark in the cell for her eyes to make out.
"She made me fight the Attor" I said, hoping she wouldn't hear me. She heard. The human sat up so fast that there was no way she didn't get a headache before turning towards me.
"What?" she practically screeched.
"Calm down. I took care of it" I said sighing. "It was a death duel and I killed it."
"I'm sure that pissed off Amarantha even more" she muttered. I snorted, remembering the look on her face when I burned her arena to the ground.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure your next trial will be a fun one" I said, and it was her turn to snort before going quiet.
"Can I ask you something" she said, her tone unsure.
"Sure, but I might not answer" I told her.
She huffed: "Sometimes I forget you're fae."
"Thanks for the compliment" I deadpanned, letting her know that it really wasn't a compliment.
"Where did you truly come from? And where did you get enough power that even Tamlin is threatened by you" she asked. "And why doesn't anyone else know of your existence?"
I just sighed.
"Lucien and I are decedents of Beron, the High Lord of Autumn" I told her. Half lie, half-truth.
"What?" she snapped, and I could practically taste her shock.
I rolled my eyes at her ignorance; how did she not notice. I mean she knew that Lucien and I were related, and I can pretty much guarantee that she knew of our other brothers, so why didn't she figure out that I was related to Beron.
Was she dropped on her head as a child? First the riddle and now this, fuck we were never getting out of here.
"I have never had a good relationship with my family, well besides Lucien and my twin Eris, I'm sure you'll meet him eventually, and of course my mother. The rest of them, well are greedy and vicious in my opinion. And they did something to me that I can never, will never forgive" I said before I saw Feyre open her mouth.
"Don't ask I won't answer" I told her, and she shut her mouth.
"Anyways, we all have our theories about how I got so much more power than the rest of my siblings, most of the family believes that I obtained it by being the first born. I'm not so sure though, not that I'm complaining, my abilities, along with my twin are the only reasons that I haven't yet been forced into some marriage arrangement to some arrogant Lord." Not that they hadn't tried, I thought.
"And as for your last question" I said, licking my lips.
"When I was born, my father decided that I was to be kept and sheltered away from the world. I'm not sure if it was because his fist born was a female or because I already had too much power for my own good, but he thought it best to place a bargain or curse or whatever you want to refer it as, that ensured that no one else knew of my existence" I said, swallowing.
