Plan:

Basically we have a female character named Amanda, affectionately called Mandy, who worked in the factories. She helped spread the word about the strike doing a lot of the heavy lifting behind the scenes (telling everyone, coming up with ideas, helping prepare the boys for speeches, a jack of all trades really, )  the boys were just the faces, and doing the more out their stuff (beating people up, stopping wagons, talking to governors).

So anyway the newsies are reincarnated into this world, they knew who they were, and during quarantine a few of them come over, right as Hamilton is being released. So then they needed an excuse to stay longer, so they decide to watch another movie, Racetrack is insisting that it need to be a musical, (he hadn't realized they were this good!). Medda, who is a foster mother to a couple of them, was finally fed up of them debating what they should watch. She just clicks the next one in the row, which just happens to be Newsies, (The Broadway Musical). They all shut up and watch it. All of them are sorely disappointed about how they are misrepresented.

Just to make things clear, I would sort of create yet another reality for them. Where I would mix aspects of what really happend, Newsies on Broadway, Newsies, and my own imagination. For example, Les and Davey both exist outside of the musical, but so does their sister Sarah, (she isn't really important, but they might make a few references to her, you know Disney, it's okay to have two female character helping move along the plot. I mean Hannah and Medda are great, but they are also just either their for comedy, or a few lines of insight fullness, give us multiple strong female character who struggle, or you know sort of have a character arc. Sorry for the rant.)

Back to the plan, Kid Blink did help the strike, gave a few speeches, and held one of the offices, but he wasn't the leader, he was important thought. David Simmons was an old newsboy who gave out a few interviews. (Please remember I am very loosely basing this on reality, I can't stand to get rid of any of the cast!). Racetrack was a former Manhattan newsie who was now a leader of one part of Brooklyn. (Also you know how in one article, they mention how he has a little brother, more people should use that for inspiration, like this little kid that Racetrack loves so much that a literally stranger was like, he cares so much about that kids it's basically like he's his mom. Also I personally sort of think Les might have been inspired by this kid, but I might be grasping at straws. I mean the people did enough research to A) find out about this strike, and B) Get multiple background characters real names, and C) find out about Spot, who is only mentioned in one or two articles. They would have found out about Racetracks brother).

Medda is also real, along with Hannah, because why not? Jack Kelly does as well, but for sake of story I am going to make him the Manhattan news boy leader, who supports the strike, helps it and such, but wasn't the one to come up with it though, or lead it. Instead I might make that Crutchy? He was a leader, (I think?) he also seems to be a bit of a leader through out the musical as well? Saddly after he is taken to the refugee the rest of the newsies have to keep the mission alive. Katherine 'Plumber' basically the same as the musical, only she is one of many reporters, not just herself. She was the first reporter to actually start reporting the newsie strike, because she had just gotten out of a meeting with her father. Also she isn't going to write the Newsie Banner, the Newsies, other children, and her will do it together, they will also put out multiple editions.

Characters that will be there:

Amanda (original)

Davey

Kid Blink

Racetrack

Medda

Jack

Crutchy

Katherine

Characters who are mentioned as having reincarnated

Les, Sarah, and the rest of their family.

Mr Pulitzer/Pulitzer family

David Simmons

Tell me who else to involve, or if you think I should change any stories. Other feed back is nice.  Should I do this as a one shot, or as a here's a big watching the musical thing with lots of them being mad or very happy at how they are portrayed, which probably will either take forever, or never finish? Should I include anyone else? Would you read it?
