Chapter Two: Newly made
" Well look who decided to wake up."
Darkness surrounds my body. As cold air is pressed against my skin.
" What is this feeling?" I say not even realizing something was lurking in the deep depths my mind was held in.
" How long has it been Olivia, since you last thought of me?" A voice says ringing in my ears.
Her voice continued to echo throughout the dark room as if she was constantly moving around. What was she doing? And who was she? I thought to myself, but these thoughts would remain hidden.
The bright light hanging above my head began to twist and shake while swaying back in forth. Spreading it's light throughout the room.
Eventually the light finally found what it was looking for. The once swaying light suddenly stopped in a specific spot. Keeping so still even the person stopped running in circles.
All while the light was still the water around us wasn't. It was interrupted and confused constantly sending out alarming small waves towards the person.
As if it was trying to warn me.
" Why" I whispered out loud confusingly backing away from the person who troubled even the waters in my mind.
I look down at the water. As it continues to vibrate warnings to me.
Telling me to back away from the person who stood before me.
A pale foot slides out into the open waters. As its veins pop out radiating a blue color as if it was the foot of a corpse.
The foot then flinches quickly pulling it's foot from out of the open hunching over in a creepy way. Radiating the most sinful and ominous feeling draining me of my energy and life force by the second.
Screams began to fill out my mind. As screams of all voices began to yell at once like a alarm was going of inside me.
I cover my ears trying to cover the sound. But that didn't help for the screams were to loud and weren't coming from the outside but from within me. But from where? I asked myself but even this simple question wasn't being answered.
" My you really haven't changed" The womanly voice says snickering at me.
My body began to get hot and bothered as memories left and right began to call my name saying things I couldn't understand for each voice was speaking all at the same time. But in the distance you could hear a distinct voice saying goodbye repeated times. And another greeting me.
These seven voices called my name while repeatedly saying goodbye. And each time I heard that fateful goodbye something inside me broke of. As if I was being ripped apart and spread out into the open not being allowed to come back.
" Olivia" "Olivia" Olivia?" Olivia." "Olivia" "Olivia".
"Olivia!"
My eyes shot open as a wincing pain flows throughout my body.
Sharp pains sting at my skin as a burning sensation begins to calm down.
I shift my eyes next to me as my body fights back into letting me stand up on my own or letting me rest.
I slowly sit up holding the edge of the couch hoping my legs wouldn't give out.
And there he was waiting with two cups of coffee in his hands. Holding one out for me while sipping his own.
" Looks like your awake" He says looking back out into the window.
His presence seemed to calm me down knowing I didn't have to be alone anymore after all he was the only person I grew up with. In this world at least. My heart calmed down for the dream had caused me to be flustered and confused.
His tall body gazes out the window as his stern and raspy voice asks me a question.
I couldn't hear though for my mind was to busy once again admiring who he had changed into.
His broad shoulders and toned arms were now visible for his cloak was off.
He then fully turns around to once again try to hand me my cup of coffee. But now something new caught me off guard.
" You really did change" I accidentally say out loud.
He smiles revealing his dimples and perfect smile. His eyes were grey and yes they were beautiful alone but this time I could truly see how much they complimented his facial features. His cheeks were slightly pink for they were flustered and warm. His lips were tinted both a red and pinkish color as his eye lashes complimented his eyes even more. His skin was slightly glazed as his glass like skin was clear.
He had really changed.
" Coffee?" He says lifting up the cup trying to get my attention.
I quickly grab the cup feeling it's warmth and his. And I realized it had been a while since it I had last felt this relaxed and calm without any worries to hold my mind down.
By this time it had been a week since I had seen the sunflower girl but I didn't mind for a new problem was appearing in the near future. So by default I slowly began to put my mind else where but that didn't stop the dreams of memories painted in all colors to walk right past me. They occasionally came to me and slowly faded away within just a few hours or even a day.
I began to look out the window pondering on the dream I had just witnessed trying to figure out a way to comprehend what it meant. But all that hit my mind was how that voice sound oddly familiar. But I didn't pay close attention I had a new problem to focus on and with him by my side we had no choice but to pull it off.
But for now we just stood out the window pondering in whatever first came to mind.
" How's your dreams?" He asked me
" No questions I'm thinking" I replied
But like he's always been he shut his mouth waiting for my own aggravation to build up and tell him myself. And just as he thought it did.
I blew out a big sigh trying to relieve myself of the stress.
" If you truly are curious about these dreams just go to her" He says
" I will not she will never be an option." I quickly reply
He lets out a sigh placing his cup down on the counter.
He quickly snatched his mask off the counter quickly walking away reaching his hand out the door. " I'll be back " he says
" Where are y-" Before i could get a word in the door slams shut and I'm left with my own thoughts and emotions.
" I can't see her she has to be the last option" I say outloud
She was my nightmare and hope. She was a gleaming light in the dark but was the one thing I should have been watching out for in the dark. She was the reason I was alone and I was this way. She's the one who would constantly steal my ideas of future devices and take them to her greedy husband for validation. She was the first person I called mother in this world.
" She's the person who ruined me."
I said looking at the big building boards of her, sipping my coffee in both a saddened and angrily way.
" Mother."
