Soon a exit out of the vent appeared in the distance as I continued to slide down the long vents.
A worrisome feeling began to pluck at my stomach as I begin to question my strength trying to convince myself that I was good enough.
" But am I?" I thought to myself sliding out of the vents and finally being freed from the long vents.
My eyes start to slowly adjust to my surroundings.
A dark aura tossed and turned around me as a cold and unfamiliar environment scratches at my skin.
Sharp twigs pocking from out of the dark and deep forests try to grab my in slowly consuming my last energy refusing to let me break free of whatever this feel was.
A gloomy barrier surrounds the outer layers of forest as a dark and almost transparent barrier flows in all directions with dark and ominous spots flowing and dispersing like fog clearing out and coming back.
I lift my head up looking to how high the forest stood as it's trees stretched long and tall reaching towards the sky. Almost touching the tips of the tall buildings.
I then bend my hand down looking towards the cube in my hand. Trying to understand what was so important about this cube to both Ian and Saphire. And why did it's light keep flickering off and on?
I then grasp it in my hand unknowingly merging my energy with it.
I suck down my fear entering the forest forgetting any sense of regret and fear. Biting my tongue refusing to let Saphire die.
I take a step forward entering my body through the barrier as it allowed me in with it's own will.
A cold feeling freezes my fingertips causing them to go cold.
As fog begins to flow around me as I pass through the barrier fully emerging into the forest of darkness.
It had been years since this forest was ever set foot in yet here I am entering it not even knowing if Saphire is truly here.
" What did she mean back home?" I whisper outloud walking with my fist ready.
Suddenly a wave of darkness hits me in my face as a chilling scream is heard far in the darkness.
The forest echoed as if it was a long hall way returning everything thats given back to them.
I step on a twig stopping my body movements slowly breathing in a slow way trying my best to listen closely.
Laughter awakens in the forest as a tall shadow figure is seen wondering in the distance smiling a smlile you could tell he was hiding something.
Or more or less trying to bait me in.
I begin to walk slowly. Lowering my eyes in a angered way trying my best to see in the fog but nothing went as well or as planned everything was indifferent and out of place.
This place was dark and cold everything was hard to see for the bushes and sharp twigs poked at you and blocked your eye sight. As well for the fog it burned at your eyes slowly causing them to water.
My eyes well up as tears fill in them and a horrible burning sensation refuses to allow me to see.
A giggle awakens in the distance as the figure disappears running away from me.
Anger boils in my chest as my cold finger tips start to burn with both anger and frustration.
" Saphire!" I scream out loud forcing my cold hands into a fist forcing my way through the harsh twigs and tall bushes.
Cutting myself and scratching myself without any care in the world.
I force myself through this layer finally breaking free and slamming my feet on the ground running towards the last place I seen the figure disappearing.
" Saphire!" I yell outloud once again
Slamming my feet on the dry and dead forest I begin to see in the distance an even less alive part of it calling my name.
As I fly through the forest pass the tall trees refusing to let go of my determination I push forward ignoring the small stings on my face, arms, and legs.
" Saphire!" I say finally screaming such a reached scream my ears rung at my own noises.
I hit a stop twisting my head around trying to notice my environment trying to get one hint to were he had went to.
But no signs appeared not even a clue it was as if.
" He was a shadow."
I thought appears through my head as I think back to the moments with the girl Ian is fighting with.
I would only be able to see his shadow figure meaning he's only leading me on.
" I was right he's baiting me in." I think to myself.
If it's me falling for hi trap that's what I'll do.
I begin to walk the same direction as I was before. And there it was, It was the trap he had laid for me.
I jump into the pile of dead and grey leaves falling into a long tunnel sliding down it's dirty and dead soil as it brushes on my arms and skin burning it slightly more.
I soon enter another tunnel as land my feet on the ground looking both ways as a dark tunnel is revealed to my eyes going both left and right.
" What game are you playing?" I whisper out loud slowly loosing my patience.
The cube in my pocket began to radiate a green light as it started to flicker brightly and then dimmer.
" What are you leading me to little leaf?"
I point the cube towards the left then right watching it get brighter and dimmer. Dimmer towards the right and brighter towards the left.
" Left it is." I say running down the foggy tunnel not knowing what was to come next.
"Saphire! Saphire!" I yell out loud.
" Look who's here small little child." A voice echoes through the tunnels. Watching me as if I was guinea pig meant to be toyed with.
The tunnel began to rumble in a disturbing way shaking me from the soles of my feet to the top of my head. Small rocks fall from of the top of the tunnel forcing me to run quicker and try to escape.
" You went right into a trap foolish little girl."
I then trip over a rock as all behind me started to cave in as rumbles fill the long tunnels and a numbing feeling falls on my legs and finally covering my full body.
As dirt pours out into the tunnel burring me deep in a place I don't know off.
" I've failed you Ian."
