Penthouse fanfic : Oneshots

NEW YEAR'S SPECIAL: A night in your warmth

This one shot takes place in the time period between season 2 end and season 3 beginning right after the adults were sent to jail and Suryeon is back in Penthouse.

The alarm began to buzz at 6 am sharp as Seokhoon reached for it while groaning and shut it off, his eyes still closed. He had been studying all night again and had barely slept for three hours. Burying his face in his pillow, he began to drift back to sleep when a knock came at his door.

"OPPA! Wake up!" Seokkyung's voice came from outside. Seokhoon chose to not respond. He really needed the sleep so bad. It was so cozy right now and he had no intentions to move even a bit. "Oppa! Aish we are gonna get late!" Seokhoon pulled the covers on top of him, ignoring his sister again.

Five minutes had passed and Seokkyung hadn't said a word. A satisfied grin appeared on Seokhoon's face while his eyes still remained closed. He won. Just then, he heard the sound of his door opening and light footsteps slowly approaching him. "You just won't give up, will you? Joo Seokkyung, get out right now. I'm very sleep I don't have the energy to deal with you." He mumbled in a deep voice so he would intimidate his little sister. Surprisingly, he didn't hear her respond. She was strangely quiet for some odd reason. He could feel her sit beside him on the bed. Suddenly, he felt her fingers brushing through his hair.

His eyes were wide open as he sat up with surprise.

"Yah what are yo-"

He paused when he saw the girl sitting before him wasn't Seokkyung.

"R-r-rona?!?!"

Rona smiled and nodded.

"Yep that's my name. It's Rona, not Joo Seokkyung."

Seokhoon lowered his gaze and focused on his hands as he silently cursed himself in his head.

"Did you stay up all night again?"

Seokhoon nodded.

"Aigoo...well get ready fast. Don't tell me you forgot about our school trip today."

That's right. Seokhoon mouth fell open as the realization hit. He finally understood why Seokkyung had been at his door at 6 in the morning when it usually had been his job to drag her out of her bed when going to school.

Rona smiled, noticing his expression and leaned forward and pinched his cheeks.

"Ouch!"

"Come out fast. Ajhumma made us breakfast and we will be really late if you delay any longer."

Seokhoon nodded again with a shy smile as Rona stood up and walked out, grinning.

As soon as she was out of the door, he fell back on to the bed and began kicking the air, flailing his arms around with a huge frown on his face.

"Joo Seokhoon you idiot." He slapped his palms on his face and pulled his hair strands. "You just let your girlfriend see you in this pathetic state. Why are you so pathetic agjjjjjjss!!" Groaning, he dragged himself out of bed but as soon as the warm water from the shower hit his skin he began to utter obscenities again. Burying his face in his hands as the water trickled down his body, he prayed that this was just a nightmare. 

It had only been 3 months since she had come back to him after escaping death and he had made it his goal to be the best boyfriend for her and always be with her. He wanted to be her pillar and her strength. The person she would lean on to, the person she would admire all the time and here he was showing his messy hair and drool covered face in the morning.
