My Best Nightmare?

Great news

Looking at himself  in mirror, Blue saw a beautiful purple pattern that included phases of the moon was on the much lower part of his stomach. He loved how it looked on his ecto, and the pattern was beautiful. Turning a little bit Blue noticed a smaller pattern on one side of his hips, a small crescent moon with a few patterns around it. Looking closer and slowly starting to let his ecto slip away he noticed that the same small pattern on his hip bone. Turning to the other side he also saw the same pattern on the other side.
"W-Woah..."
"Blue is everything ok?"
"Ya!.. Everything is fine!"
Quickly getting dressed, Blue ran out of his room, remembering he had to go some where with his friends.
"I'm ready!"
"Ok good"
Dream happily said, him, Ink, and Palette already in their jackets and ready to leave- Wait jackets? Blue looked outside and saw it was snowing.
"Why is it snowing?.."
"Um...because it's December?..."
Ink pointed out chuckling a little
"Oh...ya...I knew that..."
Blue went over to closet and got his jacket
"Just sleepy is all, hehe..."
Blue chuckled
"That's fine, Palette's getting some stuff and will be here in a minute so you have some time to wake up."
Ink reassured also chuckling a bit after, sounding almost as tired as Blue did. But Dream wasn't so cheery for once, him clearly suspicious about something. Blue noticing this asked-
"You ok Dream? You seem off..."
"Look...I'm going to be honest Blue...and I'm really gonna want you to be so with me."
"Ok?.."
Ink also seemed to be a little confused with Dream's strange behavior. So instead of helping he just said he would go upstairs with Palette. Blue wasn't happy but didn't say anything and let Dream talk.
"Let me be blunt about this because I'm still worried, I sense Nightmare's magic. And for more than a month now I haven't been able to sense your dreams. So Blue please tell me if somethings been going on..."
Blue really did hate seeing his friend like that, he wanted to tell him the truth so bad but he never could... He can't... It wouldn't go as well as it did with Nightmare's gang... But it wasn't like it was Dream's fault...right?..
"There isn't anything going on, I already said there wasn't... So please trust me... If you sense Nightmare's magic then yes you can worry, but we'll be fine...if he gets to close I know you'll know..."
"I...will, ya I will! Thanks for reassuring me...I'm just so worried is all...I don't want to loose you, Ink, or Palette..."
Again Blue could only feel terrible, one of his closest friends was still so worried about him despite being happy for him at the same time... It was so odd...so sad... Still he couldn't say anything...
"You're welcome, and like I said last time you don't have to worry..."
"And again...I'll have to try..."
"Mama!"
Blue and Dream heard Palette scream, while running over to them both.
"I'm ready to go!"
He exclaimed happily
"Oh great!"
Dream happily yelled back, picking his son up.
"You two had enough time to talk, right?"
Ink asked, watching his husband and Blue look at each other and slowly nod.
"Ya I think so..."
Dream said, smiling at Blue, with Blue smiling back.
"Yep, I think so to, so let's go"
"Yay!"
Palette again screamed, excited to be leaving.
"Ya someone sounds ready, now come on let's go."
Ink said, first to leave followed by Dream with Palette, and then followed by Blue. They went off to the plaza and Ink went off to get something with Palette.
"Hey where's Ink going?"
"Oh um, I actually wanted to talk with you about something."
"Ok?"
Dream thought of how to say what he wanted and after getting an idea he started to speak.
"Well me and Ink wanted to bring Palette on a little trip, and we were thinking that we just wanted it to be a mom and dad thing... You know?"
"Ya! That's fine if you guys want to do that, how long do you think you'll be gone?"
"Well we thought about leaving in a couple of days for just about a week... But if Nightmare may-"
"No, no, no, No! It'll be fine go have fun, if something happens I can always call."
Dream was still nervous but didn't want to cancel plans because of something that he isn't even sure is even going on.
"Fine...but please be careful..."
"You won't have to worry about that, it's in my nature to be careful you know that."
"I do... Oh hey, Ink and Palette are walking back over."
Turning around Blue also saw Ink and Palette walking back over.
"Well once you tell Palette your plans he's bound to be excited."
"I hope so"
"Speaking of which, what are you going to go do with him?"
"I'll tell you when him and Ink get here, so I don't have to explain it twice."
"Ok, good idea"
"Why thank you~"
Both Blue and Dream chuckled a little as Palette and Ink got back over to them, Palette first to ask why the other two were laughing. Once he asked Dream and Ink went on to tell him the fun trip they'd be going on, and even though Blue was a grown man he had to admit he was a little jealous of all the fun they would be having but was happy to see Palette excited to go... Admittedly though he was even happier to know that him and Nightmare would finally get some alone time...together... But in the back of his mind he was still a small bit worried that the first true interaction that they'd have with one another that day maybe wouldn't be a very dreamy one... No...that was Dream getting in his head, everything would be fine...at least...he really hoped it would...
