Chapter Two

Anna texted me with what it seemed like a thousand times to come to the dance each time I'd replied with "No Anna I'm not going!" I got bored at home and decided to go after all I began to get ready and put on a nice shirt and jeans, for the first time in a while I asked my mom "Could you do my makeup?" she said "I would be delighted." to." As my mom did my makeup for the dance I was texting Anna I told her "Anna I'm coming to the dance, I don't have anything better to do." She never responded back so I figured her phone had died or something.

At 5:30 my mom and I jumped into the car and headed for the dance.

My mom asked me "Are you sure you want to do this? I mean you and I could just go see a movie or something without other people."

It seemed like a great idea but I told her "I would love that but you did my makeup and everything so might as well go for the hell of it."

She nodded and said "Ok well call if you need anything I'll be at the restaurant right across the street."

As my mom pulled into the parking lot the clock struck 6, I walked into the doors with people grabbing my coat and asking for my phone I refused to give my phone to them and walked into the gym looking for my group of people. Anna waved me down to signal that they were across they gym she ran up and hugged me.

The first thing she told me was "You came wasn't expecting you to show."

I rolled my eyes and walked to the cafeteria, when I saw Dustin sitting alone.

I walked up to him and asked him "Hey Dustin can I sit with you?"

He looked up at me and replied "Yeah go ahead I can talk to somebody."
