Chapter 3

Three days had passed, the Li kids were having so much fun, playing with the other kids in the daycare. The food that the chef baked was delicious, and storytime before bedtime was always the best part of each day! But the even better part was playing hide 'n seek, which usually takes place before lunch (to avoid any cramps). Funneh, Lunar, and Draco were enjoying themselves at Kawaii Daycare.

Funneh: Kawaii Daycare is the best daycare in the world!

Draco: Yup!

They looked at Lunar, who was still inspecting her doll.

Funneh: Lunar? What are you doing?

Lunar: Oh, nothing. Just lookin'.

Draco: At the doll? Since when do you play with dolls during dinner time?

It's true. It was indeed dinner while they were talking about how much they were happy at Kawaii Daycare. Why would Lunar be inspecting her doll, if she could be eating the delicious ramen noodles, with pastel Pusheen-aesthetic ice cream as dessert?

Lunar: I don't know. These dolls, they just... They look so realistic! As if they're real living beings. What if they were made of real children? 

Funneh: Stop scaring us, Lunar! 

Draco: Plus, if they were made of real children, wouldn't they be made by OURSELVES? Yet, we are still alive, here.

Lunar: Maybe we aren't alive...?

Funneh & Draco (screaming at her): LUNAR!!!

The next day, it was soon lunchtime. Rainbow and Gold announced that it was hide 'n seek time, which made all of the kids get excited. 

Rainbow: Like always, the babies will stay in the ball pit so they don't get lost or sneak into the kitchen and hurt themselves. We trust you, older kids, to be safe. Gold will look after the babies this time, right, Gold?

Gold: Yes! Now, have fun, kids! Rainbow will be the seeker.

Rainbow started counting to 120 seconds (2 minutes). Lunar, Funneh, and Draco tried to find a hiding spot, but Sally and Suzie (two of the other daycare toddlers) had already taken the best hiding spot. 

Funneh (whispering to Sally and Suzie): SASSY SALLY, SMELLY SUZIE! GET THE HELL OUT! WE WANTED THIS HIDING SPOT! RAINBOW IS AN INCREDIBLE SEEKER, SHE'LL FIND US!

Suzie: I don't care.

Sally: Can't one of you come in? This is a spot for three people, after all!

Draco: Ya, but yo butt is too big, Smelly Suzie!

Suzie: I am HIGHLY OFFENDED! I'm telling Mrs. Rainbow and Mrs. Gold if you don't say sorry! Hmph.

Draco: "Sorry".

Back to the drawing board... They had to find a new hiding spot. They already heard Rainbow count to 100... They had twenty seconds left! They were screwed...

Lunar then found the head babysitters' office. AKA, the forbidden room...

Lunar (pointing at the office): Let's hide in here. She'll never suspect us in here.

Funneh: Are you crazy, Lunar?! It's the forbidden room!

Draco: Yeah! We're not allowed in here, Lunar...

Lunar: Exactly. If we hide in Mrs. Rainbow and Mrs. Gold's study office, the seekers will never find us in here! Because we aren't allowed in here, so they won't even try seeking inside. And Mrs. Rainbow? She'll never suspect us here since we never break the rules.

Funneh and Draco at each other then did a thumbs-up at Lunar, meaning « yes! ». The three siblings then went inside the office. On a table, there were some buttons and needles. Lunar was admiring them. "Is this where they made the dolls for the daycare? It would make sense, seeing as there aren't any shops that sell the dolls I've seen here."

Draco had seen some Oreos laying on the table as well, so he started eating those Oreos. 

On her side, Funneh climbed on Rainbow's chair to see what was on her desk. And that's when she saw it... Papers talking about making three new dolls with three new experiment test subjects... And those test subjects were Funneh, Lunar, and Draco!
