"Jayla! Put your shoes and clothes on, your father is in the hospital." My mom said yelling.
"Mom, what happened?" I asked running down the stairs with one shoe on.
"He got shot in the head."Tears rolling down her face."There was a break in, in the bank, and everyone got hurt."
"Is he okay? Please tell me he's fine! Please."
"I don't know yet." My mom said as both of us shut the car door.
- Arrives to the hospital-
"Excuse me ma'am. What room is Jacob Robinson in?" I asked my voice cracking.
"Are you his wife and daughter?" Said the nurse quickly.
"Yes!" My mom said. "Can you please tell us what room he's in, I want to see him now!" My mom said tears rolling down her face.
"He's in room 143."
"Thank you." I said running while my mom is following behind.
"140.. 141.. 142.. 143.."
"Mom, here is the room!" I said busting the door open.
I saw my father on the hospital bed asleep, bandages wrapped around his head, and cords attached to his body. I called his name about 5 times, but he didn't budge. The doctor greeted us and checked him out. All of a sudden the heart monitor started to beep. The doctor started yelling and calling other nurses. She shocked him 3 times, but he didn't wake up. I was crying tears like a rainfall, and my mom was on the ground screaming.
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEEEEEEEP.
"I'm sorry ma'am, but your husband and your dad didn't survive. I thought he will be fine with the surgery, but the bullets were too close to his brain. I'm sorry." She said disappointed.
"OH MY GOSH!!" My mom screamed." WHYYYY! Why now." Why!"
I just stood their shocked. Tears running down my face, but I was calm. I couldn't think, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. I just stood there. Tears pouring down my face while my mom was on the ground screaming. There are murders, funerals, killings everyday, but I never thought it will happen to us. At least, not this soon.
