This takes place during the end of the prologue of my story, Little Lights. It's right after Deathbringer & Glory kill Strongwings.

                                                   ~>Fierceteeth<~

Blood. Who knew dragons had this much blood?

Wait... this is my blood! That means our plan worked! The world won't be bothered by us anymore! But... how am I still alive?

Crap, that's right... the enchantments.

                                                              ~{Flashback}~

The massive NightWing touches my earring gently with one of his claws & speaks the words, "I enchant this earring to keep it's wearer from being killed." He does the same thing to Strongwings' earring, the match to my own.

No one can hurt us now.

                                                         ~{End of flashback}~

We both pretend to be dead, allowing Deathbringer & the queen's brother lug us away & burry us under a large tree, side by side.

After a few minutes have passed & we're running out of oxygen, Strongwings digs us out & we fly towards the prison to see the more important part of our plan. We find a sturdy branch within sight of our cell & hide the silver spots under our wings, disappearing.

About 10 feet away, sits the queen & her husband, still mourning the loss of their son. I truly wish that the plan hadn't involved murdering an innocent dragonet.

A RainWing walks out, carrying a small black egg with stars dotting it's shell. Strongwings & I tense as we witness the next few minutes, anxious about our plan working.

The RainWing speaks in an anxious voice, "this egg was found in a weird makeshift nest in the corner of the room. It appears to be their egg."

No kidding, banana brain! I growl silently. Sensing my anger, Strongwings rests his head on top of mine.

"Well then smash it!" The queen growls angrily, "It's what they did to ours."

I almost leap out of the tree & kill her for her lack of mercy.

"B-but, there's a note on the egg. It's written to you."

"What does it say?"

I recite the carefully worded note on my mind as the RainWing reads:

"Dearest Queen Glory,

this is our egg, if you haven't guessed. It is to be named Memory, regardless of it's gender, & sent to my brother & his wife (if he has one). There should be a locket in the nest as well, give it to them when they hatch. They are never to hear of their parents. The only thing about us that you may tell them is that our names were Fierceteeth & Strongwings.

Sincerely, Feirceteeth

P.S. Smash it & I will kill you, weather I am dead or not.

P.P.S. Darkstalker enchanted our earrings so that we can die, but not be killed, but by the time you read this, we will be long gone. Don't bother looking.

P.P.P.S. I am truly, truly sorry that it came to this. We just needed to get your attention."

"Fine, send it to Starflight," the queen responds.

"W-we're not going to go find them!?" The king's roar echoes around the forest.

"No," his wife states plainly, "She said herself that they would be gone by now. & you know what? Just to prove that they're out of our scales or good, let's go back to the pavilion & play with Firefly."

As they fly back to the village, Strongwings & I fly silently above the treetops & towards the Scorpion Den.

Goodbye, Memory, I think sadly as we fly away, You'll never know us, but we love you very much.
