My favorite dragon in the mountain has to be Stonemover. Scrollworm says he's boring, but he's actually pretty cool once you get through his rough exterior.

"Hey, Stonemover," I say as I enter his cave & set my homework on the ground.

"Hello, Memory. How are you today?"

"I'm good, you?"

"Same as always."

I chuckle, "Can you please help me with my NightWing hystory?"

"Depends on what you need help with."

I pick up a scroll & read the assignment off of it, "Let's see... I need help with... the NightWing Animuses. A list of them, if you know them all."

"I think I can name a few. Let's see... Darkstalker is easy, ummm... then there's Magician, & Glamourmaker, Gemseeker, Halo, Echolistener, Attack, Marcher, Rosebringer, &... Me, Stonemover."

"Thank you so much! Stonemover, you're the best!

"You're very welcome, Memory."

I exit the cave & walk into the school. On my way to my cave I bump into a large, black chest. I look up into a pair of black eyes glaring at me.

"Hello, what brings you to the school, sir?"

My uncle comes dashing out of the library, "I am so sorry, Deathbringer," he begins to pull me away, "Sh-she went back into Stonemover's cave & I-I assumed that she'd be back there until you left."

"Starflight," Deathbringer's voice is a low growl as he addresses my uncle, "Would you mind introducing me to this young dragoness?"

"Y-yes, this is m-my niece, Me-Mem-Memory." His voice squeaks when he says my name.

"Feirceteeth's daughter."

My uncle only nods.

"Hello, Memory, I'm King Deathbringer."

"Oh! I'm so sorry," I apologize quickly & bow as low as I can.

"No need, for that." He turns to Uncle Starflight, "Starflight, I know better than anyone that you shouldn't be judged for your parents' mistakes. I will not harm this dragonet."

A RainWing walks up behind the king with two dragonets on her back. I bow again, knowing that this must be Queen Glory.

"Hello, Memory."

"I- Your Magesty."

The elegant dragoness chuckles, "I am honored to have met you after all this time."

"The honor is mine, Your Magesty."

"Please, call me Glory."

I nod, still awestruck at meeting the royals.

"Hey, Glor." My uncle hugs the teal dragon.

"'Sup, Stary?"

"Oh! Have you met my daughter, Scrollworm? Scrollworm! I want you to meet an old friend of mine!"

My cousin comes tumbling out of the library, glasses perched on her snout & scroll in talon, "Yes, Dad?"

"Scrolly, this is Queen Glory, we grew up together."

The 3 year old dragonet looks up at the regal dragoness before her, "Hi!"

"Hi, Scrollworm." The queen bends down & looks my cousin in the eye.

"You're very pretty!"

Deathbringer whispers loudly in Scrolly's ear, "Agreed."

We all laugh.

We spend a little more time with the royals before they have to return to their kingdom. We say our goodbyes & they fly off towards the rainforest.
