I wasn't allowed to go with them to get Vander, but i still managed to sneak and follow them.

I watched the entire thing from a rooftop.

"I knew the shimmer made that guy strong but goddamn" I whispered to myself when the man Silco gave shimmer to took out-

"Who even was the guy they killed?"

After they'd taken him and i was sure i wouldnt be seen, i jumped down from the roof i was watching from.

I stood there for a minute, the blood giving me a haunting case of deja vu.

The voices.

Oh god, the voices.

Oh, come on Lauron! Stop being such a coward!

"Shut up." i shook the thoughts away.

That's when i heard a girl screaming.

No, crying?

Banging on a window.

I looked to the shop with the busted glass.

I began to walk towards it when i hear the banging some more. It came from a small window near the ground, it was covered in blood.

I walked over to it, kneeling down i wiped some of the blood off.

I barely saw an outline of someone inside. I assumed thats who was screaming.

I stood up and began to walk away. I had to get back before Silco, or else he'd be pissed.

I got back just before everyone else did.

"Ah, Lauron," Silco said as he walked into my room.

"Hm," i replied, sharpening a blade.

Knives have always been my thing.

"Silco," Sevika said as she walked up behind him.

I looked up at the sound of her voice. Sevika and I are pretty close, we're practically best friends.

When i looked up, Silco gave me a look as though to say "whats wrong?" before responding to Sevika, "Yes?"

"They're here. The kids. They're trying to get Vander out."

Silco sighed, "I'll be there in a moment." and with that Sevika walked away.

I looked back down at what i was doing and i felt a hand on my shoulder.

"You can come with us next time, alright?" he said as he knelt down in front of me. I avoided making eye contact with him and he sighed and got up to walk away.
He stopped at the doorway and turned his head and said, "Would you like to come now?"

I perked up a bit. He never wouldve let me go with him for something as important as this. I look up at him and nod. He turned around and held out a hand. I set my knife down and got up to take his hand.

He told me to stay out of sight of the enemies, but said i could watch from the side.

I climbed up onto a ledge i had in the corner of the room. From there i watched the pink haired girl punch her way through the people until the guy, whose name i literally cannot remember, took more shimmer.

The girl ran into the room where Vander was and closed the door, and the monster was banging on the door as something caught my attention.

I saw a small wind up monkey start coming towards them.

I look to where it came from and saw a hole in the wall with what seemed to be a kid on the other side.

A kid with blue hair.

I stared, trying to see the person when suddenly there was a giant blue explosion.

It was so loud and strong that from the distance i was away from it i still got blown against the wall behind me. I was knocked out for a few minutes.

I woke up with my ears ringing, and once my eye focused, i checked myself for injuries.

Luckily, I didn't get too injured except for a piece of debri impaling my leg, but i easily pulled it out and jumped down and limped to Sevika. I put my arms around her and she put a hand on my head.

We stared at the shimmer monster who was searching for surviving enemies.

Then Vander jumped up there and fucking beat the monsters ass.

"What the hell." I heard Sevika mutter.

I stayed with Sevika as the others went to see if Vander survived. Sevika wanted to go with them, but Silco made her stay with me because i wanted her to.

But they came back with a girl.

No, not a girl.

The girl.

The one who sent in the bomb.

I could tell because of the hair.

"Wait, you're-" i began to say when i was cut off by Silco.

"Jinx," he said with a hand on her shoulder.

"Jinx," she muttered. He squeezed her shoulder.

What the hell? i thought.
