What am I to you?
A simple question—
I can’t askYou are broken
And haunted by fear—
So am IWhat don’t you want me to hear
That you must whisper—
When I’m not around?Don’t listen
When my thoughts scream too loud—
For I’m afraid that you doWhat would you show me
If I could look through your eyes—
For just a moment?I want you to see the colors
That stand out against the monochrome—
When I look hard enoughWhat would you want to hear
If I could find the right words—
That won’t hurt?I want you to tell me
All I’ve done wrong—
That I don’t already knowWho would you have me be
If I said I’d change for you—
Only if you’d ask?You?
I expect nothing from you—
But to be honest with me.
