War on the Elements pt.3

Chapter 3

Kai

Ecron pushed me to the ground, then we heard a WHOOF and I felt the heat of the fire and Alek screamed like a little girl. The fire spread unexpectedly fast throughout the small store. Ecron pulled me and Alek up and he started running out of the store. Alek was clutching Mako for dear life ( even though he was squeezing the life out of the poor ferret) and then I realized that the door had a metal handle.

"ECRON NO!!!!" I screamed as he stretched his hand out to push the handle.

He put his hand on the handle "OW!!!" He yelled and immediately pulled his hand back. I could see a burn on his palm, he held it in pain.

" I warned you" I said " are you ok?"

" Not the time Kai!" He yelled frantically looking around

Between the people scrambling and screaming I saw a man who was smirking in the corner where the fire started. He saw me looking at him and he started walking towards me. I tapped Ecron on the shoulder, he spun around and saw the man. The man gave him a bottle of water.

" here," the man said smirking " this might help"

I realized what the man was doing and I grabbed it and started bending the water I tried to put out the fires but there wasn't enough water. The fire roared on and I tried to sigh but instead I inhaled a bunch of smoke, I coughed, I looked around and relized we had no way out. I stomped my foot in frustration, and by accident Ecron decided to make a big slab of the floor come out at the exact same moment I stomped my foot. The man looked at me shocked, Ecron dropped the slab, the man then ran threw the big window in the front of the store. The rest of the people ran out after him. The man pushed a few people out of the way and started running away. We climbed out. Once we got out Alek let go of his death grip on Mako and he immediately leaped out of Alek's hands to the hood of my sweatshirt, he seems to like it in there.

The fire men finally arrived (yeah I know right a little late) and started to bend water onto the fire. The paramedics came soon after. They examined every one and some people had burns and some fainted from lack of air. Ecron walked back to meet us, his hand wrapped in a bandage.

" how's the hand " I asked causally putting my hands in my jean pockets.

" fine I guess, it just hurts a lot." He replied, " but I think that guy who started the fire was a non-bender spy there to find the avatar."

" yeah, I've been hearing about those a lot recently" said Alek

" And I think that one thinks he found it" I said looking at Ecron, he look older then before like a switch went of in his head.
