Group A, plus Aris climbed out of another vent, ending up in some kind of hallway. "You guys go ahead, there's something I need to take care of," Aris muttered climbing back into the vent. "What? Aris what are you talking about?" Thomas questioned. "Trust me it's important, you guys want to get out of here right?" Aris asked. "I'll go with him," Winston said. Alby patted him on the back and closed the vent after they were both in. "How do we know we can trust that kid?" Minho questioned. "You don't wanna know where we'd be without him," Blue said before they turned a corner and were met with Dr Crawford. "What are you kids doing out here?" She asked. Almost on cue, the lights on the walls began to flash orange and an alarm sounded. Thomas looked to Dr Crawford who seemed to be catching on. He quickly grabbed her arms, Minho helping restrain her as they walked down the halls. Unbeknownst to them, Janson was watching them on the cameras.

"They're using her, they're going after the girl," Janson said. "Lock this place up, no one in no one out got it?" He asked before he started running out of the room, followed by a handful of his colleagues. "I want them alive!" He shouted before he left.

As the group turned a corner they were faced with a guard who held a gun. "Freeze!" He shouted, aiming and blasting some kind of taser bullet at them. "Shit!" Chuck cried as the whole group flinched and began to run back the way they had came. Jesse stopped and turned around, ignoring the questioning from her friends. Suddenly she ran, full charge at the wall, just as the guard got to the corner, Jesse jumped and slammed her knee into his chest and her fist into his face. He dropped down to the floor unconscious, leaving a splatter of blood on the wall from his head. "Shit, Jesse," Newt said as the group made their way over. Thomas grabbed the gun he dropped and they took off running again, now with the gun pointed at Dr Crawford.

Once they arrived at the med-lab, Dr Crawford swiped her card and entered the room, followed by the entirety of Group A. "Where is she?! Where the fuck is she?!" Thomas screamed, aiming the gun at the other doctors who just raised their hands and backed away. One looked to the curtain on the other side of the room. Thomas followed his gaze before tossing the gun to Jesse who aimed it back at the doctors. "Get the fuck back!" She screamed as they tried to advance. Thomas ran over, pulling the curtain back to reveal a very fatigued Teresa, connected to a bunch of hospital machines, lying down in a bed.

As he spoke to her Newt looked at the doctors who Jesse had forced onto their knees in the corner. "Give me your hands!" He demanded, taking some bandages and tightly winding them around the doctors wrists. "Looks like you've done that before Blondie," Jesse retorted. "Now? Really Jesse?" Newt asked, earning a shrug in response from Jesse. "Hey when the opportunity arises," she said, her face remaining stern and the gun in her hands remaining pointed at the doctors. Carter had a tight grip on Chuck's shoulders and Blue's waist was being held by Minho. "Jesse?" One of the doctors asked. "Yes," Jesse said. "They put you in a Maze? You were one of our smartest," Crawford continued. "You're so grown up," one of the women stated. Jesse looked amongst them, trying to find anything that felt familiar. As she stared at one of the men, the only one avoiding her gaze, she felt a tear form in her eye. "Guys? They're coming what do we do?" Fry screamed, looking out the window. "Shit, Frypan move!" Newt yelled, pushing one of the counters onto its side and wedging it between the door and the wall, just in time because it was pushed open a second afterwards. "They've got the door blocked!" A guard shouted.

"Shit, shit, shit," Alby panicked. Carter looked at the window that joined this room and the next. "Everybody get back!" She shouted as she picked up a chair and signalled Blue to do the same. On the count of three, the two slammed the chairs into the window, shattering the glass. "Let's go, let's go, let's go," Carter said, helping everyone over the shards of broken glass. Jesse gave the gun to Fry once he was over the other side. Thomas helped Teresa, taking her in his arms, not noticing the hurt looks Jesse was giving them. Minho picked up Blue, Alby helped Carter and Newt looked to Jesse who was climbing over on her own. "Fuck!" She cried as an exceptionally large shard of glass got stuck in her foot. She started falling but instead of hitting the ground she was met with a pair of muscular arms. "God you're bloody hopeless," Newt said, running with her in his arms, shaking his head. "Fuck that hurts," Jesse said, noticing her blood was dripping from her foot and onto Newt's clothes. "Tha~"

"Thank me once we're out of here," Newt responded, not even thinking to put her down so she can try and walk. She noticed his limp becoming slightly more pronounced but didn't bring it up. It didn't slow him down however, it just affected the way he ran. She hated to admit it but she was impressed with how well he was running, especially because he was still holding her as if she weighed nothing. "Fuck Jesse what happened?" Carter asked, before she could open her mouth to respond they were faced with another guard. Fry tossed the gun to Thomas as the cook wasn't sure how to use it. Thomas, without hesitating, cocked the gun and pulled the trigger, making the guard in front of them fly back, fall onto the floor and writhe in waves of electric energy. "Shit, okay let's go!" Thomas said, running off and beckoning the others to follow him, which they did.

As they reached the end of the corridor they were faced with a large, heavy, rolling door. Blue pulled the keycard from her waistband and tried to swipe it through the lock but it continued to flash red. "Shit," she cursed. "Come on Blue," Carter encouraged. "Bluebell," Janson cried. Blue held her hand out, asking for the gun. Thomas reluctantly handed it to her. Something about the girl didn't fill the group with confidence in her shooting abilities.

"Open the motherfucking door Janson!" Bluebell shouted. "Trust me you really don't want me to, you already have one injury, imagine what will happen to you out there," Janson said. "Newt, bring Jesse back to the med-lab come on, we'll fix her foot," he said, signalling his men to move in but Blue aimed her gun directly at them. "You aren't fucking touching her," Newt said, his grip tightening on Jesse. "Open the damn door!" Blue demanded again. "I'm trying to save your lives!" Janson defended. "The Maze is one thing but you kids wouldn't last a day out in the Scorch!" He continued. "If the elements don't kill you the Cranks will. Come on you have to believe me. I only want what's best for you Bluebell," he said.

"Let me guess, WCKD is good?" Jesse asked. Janson lowered his hands and a shocked, yet amused expression spread across his face. "None of you are getting through that door," he smirked. He had dropped the nice guy act. Suddenly the mechanical cranking of the door lock sounded. The keypad was green. As the door rolled up, it revealed Aris and Winston. "Blue let's go!" Carter yelled as they all ran out. Blue began firing. The shots, while not accurate in any sense of the word, held them off and disoriented them for a few seconds. Then the gun ran out of ammo. "Ah shit," Bluebell whispered to herself before she threw the gun at the guards and broke out into a run. "She's not gonna make it!" Newt said as the door began to lower. Just as it was less than half a metre off the ground, Bluebell dropped and slid along the ground, just missing the door before it shut. Minho grabbed her hands and pulled her up. "Woah, that was awesome," he said. Aris grabbed a metal canister and shoved it into the lock. Sparks flew everywhere and the lock smashed into itself. The group started to walk back as they looked at Janson in the small window above the door. Jesse, Carter and Bluebell all raised their middle finger in unison. "You little shits," Janson muttered as Minho and Alby grabbed guns. "Come on, let's go," Chuck said, tapping Newt as they all ran away from the door.

They continued to run through what seemed like a warehouse until they were faced with an even bigger door. Blue pulled one of the levers on it and it began to separate. A harsh wind, full of sand blew through the room but the group persevered and continued to run. They ran up a sand hill, similar to the one they ran down when they arrived here. People on quad bikes drove after them but they had ducked behind some kind of infrastructure. Once they were gone Teresa noticed an entrance into it through a piece of broken glass. "Come on," she said as she entered it.

"This girl is going to get us killed," Newt huffed as he picked Jesse back up.
