Rahab is a highly dangerous and sadistic white Selachi who terrorizes Felarya's seas. She was born in a family pack, they taught her their survival of the fittest way of life and took to it like a fish to water. Soon she became one of the best hunters in the pack, however, one day, one of her younger siblings was cut by some coral while playing with the other children in the pack. Rahab smelled the blood and before anyone could stop her, she went into a feeding frenzy and devoured several pack members. Horrified and grief-stricken by her bloodthirsty cannibalistic behavior and the deaths of her siblings, her parent's pack had no choice but to banish her from their pack. After this, Rahab became enraged. To her, she was following her instincts and lived by the survival of the fittest mentality to the fullest, she was an Apex predator. As the years passed, Rahab grew up and terrorized the entire Topazial Sea, nothing was safe in the water when she was around, from small fishing boats to Leviathan mermaids and Kraken Cecaelias. She became so infamous that soon everyone began to call her The Devil of the Deep. A name she enjoyed. One day, she decided to go up the Jewel River and hunt. It was on this fateful hunt that she would meet her nemesis. She had smelled a certain Nisaeg and followed her scent as a storm was brewing above. She confronted Nymue and toyed with her by challenging her to see who would get to the Scottish Rebel, the fishing boat Nymue's adopted father Captain Calum was on. The two raced through the water towards the Scottish Rebel, one who wanted to eat the crew and the other trying to save her family. Rahab reached the fishing vessel first and toyed with the crew before she was rammed and launched away from the boat by Nymue. The two marine giantesses fought tooth and nail while the crew of the Scottish Rebel tried to save Nymue from Rahab. Eventually, Rahab managed to bite down on Nymue's right shoulder and tore away a chunk of flesh before Captain Calum shot her in the left eye with his harpoon gun. Rahab screamed in agony and smashed the fishing vessel with her tail as she thrashed around in the water while Nymue tried to save her adopted family from drowning. Enraged by this humiliating defeat, Rahab swam underneath one of the crew members Matthew, and swallowed him whole. Despite feeling her prey in her stomach, she turned to Nymue and vowed to return for revenge and swam back to the Topazial Sea depths.
Description:
Rahab is a 500-foot long Selachi with rough pale white skin, pitch-black hair, battle scars on her gray lower half which resemble a Megalodon shark. She has black eyes until she lost her left eye due to Captain Calum piercing it with his harpoon gun, now she wears an eyepatch made from a Jolly Roger flag she found on a sunken pirate ship. She has an athletic body built for swimming at high speed and hunting Leviathan mermaids and Kraken Cecaelias.Characteristics:
Rahab is a highly specialized predator who is sadistic and vengeful. When she was younger, she was taught the Selachi way of life and their survival of the fittest mentality which she fully embraced. One day, one of her younger siblings had cut themself on some sharp coral while playing with the other children, Rahab had smelled the blood and went into a feeding frenzy, and devoured several pack members including her siblings. It was because of their cannibalistic behavior that she was banished from the pack. However, instead of feeling remorse, she decided to completely embrace the role of an Apex predator and earned the name "The Devil of the Deep." She delights in being the Devil of the Deep and will make sure that everyone knows that she is the apex predator through violent sadistic hunts where she'll toy with her prey. When she lost her left eye, it was humiliating to be injured and forced to flee by Nymue and Captain Calum, especially when word spread throughout the Topazial Sea. The thought that she could lose enraged her and she vowed to return to have her revenge.Special abilities:
Like the rest of her kind, Rahab is a biological killing machine with keen senses, sense electrical currents to locate her prey. She can adjust her body to the water pressure allowing her to enter shallow water and dive down deep.Hunting habits:
Unlike most Selachi who prey upon those smaller than them or the same size, Rahab is notorious for attacking pods of Leviathan merfolk and Kraken Cecaelias as well as her kind to continue her horrific reputation as the Devil of the Deep. Nothing in the water no matter how big it may be is safe from her ravenous appetite. If it's small enough to fit in her mouth, she'll swallow it whole and if it's as big as her or bigger, she has multiple strategies to use from biting off fins or tentacles to ramming and stunning them as she tears them apart with her two rows of shark teeth. Most often she'll toy with her prey and give them false hope before going in for the kill.Enemies:
As Rahab terrorized Felarya's sea depths, she has had multiple enemies including her family pack. But the one being she truly sees as her nemesis is Nymue. Nymue is one of the few survivors of Rahab's attacks and the only one to have forced her to flee. To Rahab, this will not stand, she sees herself as the top predator and isn't about to lose that to a Nisaeg who protects those that would be her prey. This and the fact that everyone in the entire Topazial Sea knows about her humiliating defeat caused her to swear vengeance on Nymue and she won't stop until one of them is headed for Davy Jones's Locker.
