Nidhogg was the product of an arranged marriage between his father, the king of the fire pendraigs, King Uther, and his mother, a storm pendraig named Fafnir. During the war with the Correctors, his mother was killed defending the nest while his father was out fighting. Upon his return, he found his newly hatched son crying in the arms of his dying mother. Five years later, Nidhogg's father fell in love with an earth pendraig named Jord who gave him another son, Draco. Jord tried her best to be a good stepmother for Nidhogg and her son Draco. As they grew up, Nidhogg and Draco were thick as thieves and were taught the old code, the very rules that most pendraigs try to live by. As the war with the correctors raged on, Nidhogg and his brother joined in the fighting alongside a certain young fairy named Nemyra and the king of the titans, Alcazath. Draco and Nemyra grew to become friends while Nidhogg and King Alcazath became brothers in arms. During this time, he was given the name Nidhogg the Golden Malice Striker. They fought side by side until the war was over. Before they returned to their home, the brothers were confronted by the Guardians of Felarya. Nidhogg believed that it was his destiny to be a guardian, but Draco and Nemyra were chosen instead. This angered Nidhogg greatly, but then he remembered that should anything happen to his father, he would become the next king. So he returned home while Draco left to join the guardians. Then one day in 10,860, King Alcazath called upon the aid of the pendraigs to help him defeat the guardians. King Uther refused to put both of his sons against one another, but Nidhogg was still loyal to his old friend and thought that his father and stepmother were weak for bowing to the will of the guardians. Later that night, Nidhogg slew both of his parents and proclaimed himself as king. Many of the other pendraig rulers disapproved of his claim as king, and many of them were put to death. Anywho didn't join him were hunted down and executed. Those that escaped his tyranny joined his brother Draco and the guardians while the correctors prepared for another assault. In 10,680, The Battle of the Blind King occurred. While the guardians followed Demedrios, a famous centaur warrior. Draco flew off to fight his brother for one last time. The two brothers struck blow after blow at each other until Nidhogg dealt a mortal wound to Draco's heart. Unwilling to kill his only brother, Draco used the last of his strength to banish him to Hell. The guardians had won that day at a terrible cost. Many had fallen in battle for Felarya's very heart and soul. Nemyra held her dear friend as he lay there dying. Draco knew that one day Nidhogg would return to destroy Felarya and that a young pendraig would rise to do what Draco couldn't. In honor of Draco's sacrifice, King Trazix ordered Endymion to forge chains made from Tedrek steel and banished Nidhogg to Melchuum. Taking pity on the remaining fire pendraigs, King Trazix and his wife Queen Faldhatée signed a peace treaty and allowed the remaining fire pendraigs to live in Mount Vylkren. Nidhogg waits for the day when he'll escape and reclaim his power and become the high king of Felarya.
