You curled up on the couch with your pup and watched as the ball dropped initiating the new year. Scratching your pups ears they cuddled closer. With a big sneeze they shifted into a human forum. Laughing you pulled them closer and enjoyed as the clock counted down the final seconds of the year. You two had been living together for two, now three years since you found each other that night before new years and have been enjoying each other's presents ever since. Happy New Year.
