The skies are no longer blue from what I remember. They have changed to a polluted gray with a tint of black, smoke that arises from the structures those flesh creatures created. Thousands of years of evolution and Mankind dooms themselves because of their own Hubris. I write this because I fear I can no longer return to the clear skies of previous centuries before. My wings are touched by the freezing cold, the wind is like a knife that cuts into the skin and tears it leaving burns. I have lost my own limbs to this change in climate, they turned black and purple like a berry, and were cut clean off like scissors slicing through paper.

Even with hardships I have survived, the last of my kind, now huddled in a pirate's ship. A floating ship that now rules the air, birds used to rule are now only blimps and planes soar through. I consider myself lucky to be blessed with a flesh creature's kindness. My limbs have been modified to be more suited for this environment. Mechanical claws, prosthetics that can rust. They are not so efficient but better than no limbs at all.
