Grace was currently with Ryan and the other boys at Spencer's house. They were in his room trying to figure out what to do. "When do you think she'll notice I'm gone?" Grace asked recovering from her fit of tears.
"I don't know. You're mom seems like a real bitch." Jon scowled. Even though Jon acted like a good boy, he never was like that with his close friends. And the four people he was with now, you couldn't get any closer.
"Oh yeah she is. Ever since my dad left, she's been bad. He left when I was like ten so it's been seven years." Grace sighed. She normally didn't give that kind of information out, but she trusted the boys.
"Wow sounds bad." Brendon said. Brendon had only ever heard of one abuse story, and that was from Ryan about his father.
"It is. She used to relapse and you know can't take the kid from the fight, take the fight from the kid." Grace sighed. Her voice was still a trembling, but she could get through sentences.
"Hmm that's not bad." Ryan muttered and wrote that on a crumbled piece of paper from his pocket. Grace didn't pay attention to the fact that he was indeed writing a song.
"Spencer, honey!" Spencer's mom called to them. "Dinner's ready! You're friends can stay if they like!"
"You guys wanna stay for dinner?" Spencer asked. Spencer really didn't mind his friends staying over. He was always a really nice person.
You could male a scale out of the boys niceness. Spencer was the nicest of them all. He almost never said or done one bad thing. Then comes Jon. Jon was a well trained young man, but could be an asshole when he needed to.
Brendon was always out going and didn't really know when his comments were rude or not.Ryan was an asshole 70% of the time. The other 30, he was the sweetest soul you could ever meet.
"I can't man, my mom wants me home." Jon said. That made Spencer feel kinda bad. Spencer kinda had a small thing for Jon, but he consider himself straight and just ignored his feelings.
"Yeah, I have to go too." Brendon sighed. He wanted to stay, but he knew his mom would throw a fit if he didn't come home.
Both Brendon and Jon went down the stairs and left, not before saying goodbye to Mrs. Smith first.
"What about you ryro?" Spencer asked Ryan. He used the nickname that Ryan had ever since they were kids. Ryan thought for a second. He had no where to go or have parents to see.
"Yeah okay, I'll stay. What about you Grace?" Ryan had no clue what he was going to do with Grace. He didn't know where she was gonna go. Poor girl was to scared to go back home.
After dinner, Grace and Ryan had left Spencer's house and they were heading closer to Grace's house and she didn't even realize.
"Ryan, I don't know what to do!" She started crying again. The day had been so hectic for her that it was hard to continue.
"Grace, you have to go back home. Please stay strong, for me." Ryan tried his best to encourage her. His hard efforts were no help to anything.
"No, Ryan I can't. I've been treated like dirt for so long and I don't want to have it anymore." Grace didn't want to be with her neglectful mother.
"Well, Grace how do you think I feel?! I've lived with my dad for eighteen years and never once have I complained!" Ryan had finally snapped. He was so tired of hearing about Grace's life and how bad it was. That was all she said all day.
"You know, maybe I shouldn't have talked to you a while back. You didn't even remember me from sixth grade! I'm nothing and why did you even take an interest in me?" Grace asked and Ryan had realized how terrible he had been.
"I-I'm being an asshole. I'm sorry Grace." He honestly felt terrible about doing this to her. She was already going through a struggle and it didn't help that he was yelling at her.
"No, Ryan, it's my fault. I shouldn't have put you in this position. I'm running away and I don't expect anything from you." Grace explained to him
"Don't you think that's a little extreme?" Ryan asked. He wasn't sure if running away was the best option for her.
"No, I'll go live with my aunt and uncle." Grace said trying to explain her plan to Ryan. "I could stay there for a while before I find a way to support myself."
"I don't know about this Grace." Ryan shook his head. He didn't want Grace to go. It was best for her, but he was thinking of himself.
"Ryan, I can't go back. She'll do it again and my aunt has so much more. My aunt even wanted to take me." Grace said trying to convince Ryan it was a good idea.
"Grace, I might never see you again." Ryan was almost in tears, but he hid his emotions very well.
"Then, run away with me." She suggested.
"You know I can't do that." Ryan said. He couldn't just leave the life he had here. His band was taking off and they were making demos and he loved it.
"I respect your decision Ryan, but why can't you respect mine?" Grace asked. Did Ryan honestly care more about himself then he did Grace?
Ryan thought over everything he was about to say. Did he really want to leave with this girl? Did he love her so much? Was he willing to throw it all away? No, he wasn't.
"I'm sorry Grace, but you'll have to leave without me." He said turning away. Grave didn't cry and she didn't force him to go with her. She simply walked away and went back to her house
She climbed into her house and packed a bag full of clothes. She called her aunt, who just so happened to be Ashlee Simpson. Her aunt sent a limo to pick her up and bring her to the house of Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson.
"Hey, so I'm in this car right now and I want to say that I love you." Grace sent a voicemail to Ryan.
I'm getting really close to the end of this story. Sorry.
