Chapter 4: "Now that its over I dont know how to feel"

I had spent most of the day in my room mostly because i didn't want to have to face Abuela. Julieta had brought me breakfast which i barely touched and Camilo had spent most of the day in here with me. Something was wrong, the house was starting to crack more and i started to loose my power along with Luisa.

I heard a knock at my door and when i opened it there stood Pepa. "Y/n, Abuela said she wants everyone at the table for lunch so you might wanna come down here" she said and she looked behind me "you too Camilo" she smiled and left.

"How did she see me?" he asked confused. "Your hiding in a bush, in front of my mirror" i laughed and started to head downstairs. "You don't have to if your not ready" he grabbed my hand. "I just want an apology maybe we could work things out" i said dragging him down with me.

We all sat at the table and ate silently. No one said a word everyone looked down at their plates and i could feel Camilo fidgeting under the table. "Pass the napkins" Abuela spoke. Mirabel passed the holder and looked back down. "Is no one gonna mention what happened yesterday" Félix finally said breaking the silence. "Yes we are and i think an apology is in order" Mirabel said looking at me Camilo and Abuela. "I agree" abuela said standing up.

Silence.

"Well" abuela spoke. "I'm waiting" she continued. "Wait wait wait, what?" Pepa said standing up. "Y/n and Camilo embarrassed our family name yesterday, they disrespected me in front of the whole town, Camilo tried to fight our guest and don't think i didn't notice your little water trick at the table y/n" she said sternly. "The whole town now probably think they are malcriados and they are questioning our ability to discipline our children" she added. "i've had enough!" Pepa said slamming her hands on the table.

"Mamá you struck Camilo across the face, you let Juan disrespect y/n on several occasions and allowed him to even raise his hand at her. Not to mention you knew that y/n didn't want to even meet juan and you forced her. They are not your little puppets to control. It there life and they should decided who they want to marry or if they even want to marry at all!" She yelled.

Abuela kept her straight face and sat back down. "They are kids they don't get to decide anything yet" she said picking up her plate and leaving the dining room. "when you are all ready to apologize i'll be in my room" she said and walked away. I felt Camilo put his head on my shoulder and play with my fingers. "What do we do?" he asks. "You will do nothing she is the one who needs to apologize" Pepa huffed and stormed up stairs. "Actually, you two have nothing to apologize for" Julieta said and when to go calm down her sister. "well i'm gonna go" Félix said and went off with the rest of them. "i guess i should go too" Augustine stared blankly. He got up and walked away awkwardly. "I'm so sorry" i said and headed back upstairs.

i sit down on my bed and take a deep breath i guess this is just how it's gonna be i can't really do anything about it now.

i heard a crash outside my room and i ignored it for a minute until i heard yelling. "MIRABEL"

I ran out to see what was going on and i saw the house falling apart. "SAVE THE CANDLE" i heard and that's exactly what i went to do.

i tried to grow a vine to reach it but the vine faded into ash causing me to fall on the floor. "ah" i said rubbing my elbow. "Y/N WATCH OUT" i heard camilo said and he ran towards me. i looked up and the roof was falling onto me. i felt arms wrap around me before feeling a crushing weight on my chest and blacking out.

time skip

"y/n? y/n!" i heard muffled yells and when i opened my eyes i was camilo on top of me and we were surrounded by piles of rubble. i began coughing because of all the dust. i tried to move but the concrete was scraping against my stomach every time i moved. i winced in pain. "help" it came out barley a whisper but it was enough to for pepa to hear me. "Y/N!" she said and she called over every one ese to help lift the rubble together. i felt camilo take a big breath as the piece was lifted. "i'm alive" he said to which i laughed hurting my stomach in the process.

time skip

"Abuela finally accepted that me and camilo were together and we the whole town came together to rebuild the house. The rest seems like history. We got our powers back and we eventually got married and had you two little bundles of joy!" i said while squishing xemenas cheek and camilo patting julio's head. "AWW you guys were in loveeee" mena said.
"and we still are" camilo said sweeping me off my feet and placing a soft kiss on my lips. "ewww" julio whined. We both laughed and attacked both of them in kisses.

"You know i think your the best person i've ever met y/n"

"what do you mean you think? i am" i said smiling.

"you're so much cooler than me" camilo said while twisting my hair in his fingers.

"i know" i said and placed a kiss on his cheek.
