Alex tried his best to silently join the group of excited teenagers unnoticed so he wouldn't get bombarded with people questioning him. However this plan fell apart the second he entered the room. One thing that Alex had not planned for was that Snake and Eagle would be standing with their backs to the door and the students facing them. This meant that everyone saw Alex come in.
"Nice of you to join us Cub." Snake stated without even turning to see who had entered the room. Alex's eyes widened. Snake had referred to him as Cub! How was he going to explain that to the students?
They all watched as he walked over to the back of the group and sat down waiting for the attention to turn back to the SAS soldiers. Snake was now frantically muttering something to Eagle who sent a subtle glance in Alex's direction. The silence lingered for a moment before it was broken by Snake's quiet voice. The soldier had the sort of voice that never had to shout. It was quiet but serious and intimidating. If anyone wasn't paying attention before they definitely were now.
The remainder of the lesson was unproblematic and everyone had seemed to momentarily forget about Alex and the secret he was obviously hiding.
*Time skip*
Everyone was sitting around a large table staring at the food they had been given. Some of the smarter teenagers figured that they would not get anything better and anything is better than nothing. But still quite a few people couldn't face eating it a mindlessly pushed it around their plates with their forks. Alex had taken a seat next next to Tom in order to try and avoid any unwanted attention from his classmates, or any of the other SAS soldiers for that matter.
Unfortunately his luck had to run out eventually. All the students were back in their barracks and it was now 9pm. Alex was trying his best to stay quiet and he hoped that everyone would just forget he was there. If wasn't working.
Someone shouted "do you want to play a game?" Everyone except Alex seemed excited at the prospect and all went to sit in a circle on the floor. This meant that Alex was now the only one left. Desperate to avoid questioning, the boy reluctantly went and joined the circle with Tom in his left.
"Let's play truth of dare!" Someone shouted and the rest of the teenagers nodded their heads in agreement. Alex nodded along with them. What's the worst that could happen.
Everything was going well until about five minutes into the game a blonde girl smirked to her friends and asked "Alex, truth or dare?"
Alex froze. He knew for a fact that he couldn't pick truth. There were too many secrets he could risk telling anyone and he couldn't say anything that would break the official secrets act. "Dare." They boy replied, trying his best to act confident hoping it would confuse the girl.
It worked the girl was clearly hoping he would pick truth and thought for a minute before saying "prank call the last person who you called."
Alex took his phone out of his pocket and sighed in relief when he saw that the lay person he called was Tom. He completed the dare easily and continued with the game.
A few more rounds passed and it was Alex's turn and he once again picked dare. This time a brown haired girl with glasses thought for a moment before saying "show us all your tattoos." Alex paled at the question before coming the conclusion that it could have been worse.
He rolled up his sleeve and showed them the scorpion tattoo on his shoulder trying his best to look at something else not wanting to be reminded of the past. Then to everyone's surprise he rolled down his sock and revealed a tattoo on his ankle that said Jack with a red butterfly underneath.
Tom shot his best friend a sympathetic look before clearing his throat to signal that they should continue the game. They played for a bit longer before a dark haired boy said "let's change it up a bit. This time you have to pick whatever you didn't pick last time." Alex looked at Tom worriedly. This wouldn't end well.
