a/n: sorry for the late update. i forgot lol

Thirty minutes from the deadline and Beau began readying her things. She told Kyle to fetch their prisoners while she set up a trap in case something went wrong.

Kyle did as he was told and went to the wine cellar to get JJ and Jeremy. He had a gun hidden away in his jeans just in case they tried something and put on a happy face for them.

"Good news!" he exclaimed opening the door. He walked down the steps of the small basement and heard shuffling on the ground. "You two are getting out of here!"

The man stepped foot at the bottom of the stairs and saw Jeremy laying on JJ's stomach. JJ was flat on the ground and seemed to be breathing very slow. It raised a question for Kyle and the man dropped his nice act.

"Hey bud, is your friend alright?" Kyle asked. He moved toward the two and put his hand on his lower stomach where his gun was.

"She said she was tired," Jeremy said softly.  The boy looked up through his lashes and met with Kyle.

"How long ago?" Kyle bent down and put his hand on her neck to check her pulse. Her pulse was there but barely noticeable, Kyle's heart began to race and he returned to the boy. "Wanna do something very important for me?"

Jeremy lifted his head from JJ's stomach and nodded his head.

"Okay, I need you to follow me. Stay very close," Kyle smiled, he put his arms under JJ's body and lifted her from the ground. Jeremy agreed with the man and stay right behind him as he carried JJ.

Kyle turned back to the stairs and started walking up to get JJ out of the room. He opened the door with his foot and made sure Jeremy was following before continuing down the hall.

The blonde man walked down the hallway and went straight to Beau's office. He reached the door and tried opening it with his foot but failed. He looked over his shoulder and saw Jeremy standing right behind him.

"Beau!" he called out. He waited by the door and adjusted JJ in his arms. "Beau, open the door!"

Just as Kyle yelled out, the door opened and he was met with his boss. He gave a soft smile and received a glare from the woman.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Beau yelled. She glanced at the boy behind Kyle before looking at the situation in front of her.

"She's bleeding out," Kyle simply said. He moved forward and brushed past Beau to set the agent on a couch. Following close behind, Jeremy.

"Is my mommy gonna be okay?" Jeremy asked. He looked at Kyle through his lashes while the two adults in the room processed the question.

"Uh, y-yes, go sit over there," smiled Kyle. He pointed to the other couch in the room and waited until he sat down to attend to JJ. "Beau, a little help?"

"Right," Beau stuttered. She grabbed her first aid kit from behind her desk along with some scissors, tape, and a small piece of cloth. Nothing fancy but it should help with the wound patching. "Here."

"Thanks, you do it," the man remarked. He pushed the materials towards the woman and saw her widen her eyes in shock. She opened her mouth to speak but found herself at a loss for words. "You shot her. You help her."

Beau closed her mouth and groaned as she kneeled to help JJ. The blonde was losing a lot of blood and wouldn't help Beau's situation if she was dead.

"Everyone knows the plan?" Hotch asked. He looked amongst his team and saw them nodding their heads in agreement. "Good, it's an easy trade. We get JJ and Jeremy safely onto our side, then we let Elle go."
