AN: so these movies were set like 20 years ago i think but I'm gonna make it more modern so computers, phones, and technology is general are the same as they ae now. Everything they work on in companies like OsCorp are still advanced though and the lizard thing will still be happening. Enjoy!

Maggie

Laying on her stomach, Maggie was finishing up her homework. She finally figured out the Calculus problems and was shoving her notebooks into her bag when a small buzz from her phone tore her attention away.

dummy:) :
hey can you come over it's kinda important

from the window

She texted back :
why the window?

you ashamed of me ;(

dummy:) :
no this is just a top secret mission
lives are dependent on this

Maggie smirked at her phone and headed outside to sneak in through Peter's window. When she was inside, he told her what had happened.

"And now," he continued, "I need to figure out who this Curt Connors dude is and you're like an internet stalker so...."

Maggie had a feeling that that wasn't the real reason Peter had wanted her to come over. Her guess was that Peter just wanted someone there. I mean, she didn't blame him. His parents were always a sore subject for him.

"Fine," she replied, "but I charge by the hour."

He laughed and she sat down at his chair. Immediately when she looked at his computer, he saw a picture of Gwen. She made a mental note to get Peter checked out by a psychiatrist cause he was definitely obsessed.

Maggie opened a browser over the picture and did a quick google search of "Richard Parker and Curt Connors" to start. Up came an article titled "Cross Species Genetics Science fiction or Science Fact?". She turned around to look at Peter, but could tell it wasn't exactly what he was looking for.

Scrolling down more lead her to a link for breaking news. The pictures showed a burning plane and the headline had both Peter's parents names. She quickly closed that tab and decided to try a more focused approach by searching simply "Dr. Curt Connors".

She clicked the first article which was by the famous technological company OsCorp. It was titled "A World Without Weakness."

"Does this help at all?" Maggie asked

"Yeah, yeah," Peter responded, "thanks Maggs."

"Pleasure to be of service."

They chuckled, but Maggie could see Peter's mind whirling and thinking. He was a genius, she knew that, but sometimes he still worried her.

"Peter," she said.

"Yes."

"Promise me you won't do something stupid."

"When do I ever do anything stupid," he replied, followed by, "Don't answer that."

"Promise me."

"I'm not going to do anything stupid."

It wasn't a promise, but it was the best she was going to get out of him.

She left again threw the window, wondering what was going to happen next.
