TW: Very brief mention of homophobia

_____

"Hey Chris."

"I really like you Vanessa."

"Chris."

"Chris."

Barry couldn't see anything. His surroundings were pitch black. He could only hear what he assumed was his and...her voice.

"Did you think I wouldn't find you, Barry?"

Barry's eyes went wide in fear. His head snapped in the direction of the voice, "Who said that?!"

"I'll always find you."

Barry quickly sat up, gasping for air. I knew it. He thought to himself. Barry glanced over at his phone which was beside his pillow. He picked it up and looked at the time, 2:30 AM.

"Damn..." Barry muttered, removing the blankets from his lower body and getting out of bed. He picked up his phone and turned, making his way towards his bedroom door. He opened the door and stepped out into the hallway.

He walked down the hall as he rubbed his eyes. He turned the door handle to the bathroom and stepped inside. He shut the door behind him and walked over to the sink. He turned the handle and waited for the water to get cold. When it did he leaned forward, his eyes shut tight, and splashed his face with water.

After a moment, he opened his eyes and looked at himself through the mirror. He saw something behind him. He squinted his eyes. It was Vanessa.

"Hi Barry." Vanessa smiled.

Barry gasped and turned around, his hand hit his phone as he did, knocking it on the floor.

No one was there.

Barry let out a sigh, shaking his head. He looked back to where his phone was then shifted his gaze to the floor. The screen of his phone was facing the floor.

He winced slightly, "Oh God..." he cursed as he knelt down to pick it up. He hesitantly flipped it over. There was no crack. He sighed in relief. He tapped the screen to turn it on, hoping it still worked. The phone turned on as normal.

Barry turned back to the bathroom door and began walking towards it. He opened the door and made his way back to his room. He sat back on his bed and logged into his phone.

He reopened his chat with his brother and texted him.

Barry:
Are you still up?

Barry had remembered promising to call Sebastian when he woke up, but he figured it was a little bit too late to just suddenly call.

After ten minutes, he got a response.

Sebastian:
Yeah, sorry. I was just burning something.

Barry:
This late?

Sebastian:
Don't judge.

Did you just wake up?

Barry:
Yeah.

Sebastian:
Did you have any nightmares?

Barry frowned, just staring at the text for a solid minute.

Barry:
Why would you think I would have a nightmare?

Sebastian:
:/
You said you get them because of your ex
