Seconds and hours

Seconds and hours.

Many things can change with the time space or in between the two.

In hours, adventures can be filled, memories can be made, children can be born.

In seconds, dangers can be endured, nightmares can become reality, people can die.

And sadly, death has no age.

You can be as old as the moon or as young as a foetus.

Death doesn't care.

It takes what it wants and without remorse.

Hundreds of miles away from the danger, the hours of time were being experienced. Not the calm ones that happiness is enjoyed, but more the constant worry that swarms the people there.

And then there's the seconds. The seconds where you can easily be put in peril or torture or even death. Life and death are on a constant thin line that with one tip can result in either.

The power of time is the true enemy.

You can stop bombs and bullets from penetrating the flesh. You can reduce pain.

But you can't stop time.

The time in which you live.
You can pause, fast forward and in some ways reverse. But never stop.

Time is endless and ending.

Both Isaac Williams and Kylie McKlee knew this.

It was their way of looking at life. You can live in adventure and danger till you turn fifty, having fulfilled your life goals ready to set more. Or live a boring life to 100 and never achieve anything.

These where one of the main points that they discussed at the mere age of thirteen before they became the rulers they are today.

Isaac was never one for academics, always coping off of his sister who is intelligent and creative. He lives off of the thrill of mystery and gun fire.

Kylie on the other hand, was always more devoted to thinking things threw and planning, having a brother who is the complete opposite it's deemed necessary. She does too enjoy the thrill of a good fight, but she believes that if you can find a solution that doesn't result in violence, she will take it.

The twos comparable personalities have been very confusing for the leaders of the Russian and Italian Mafia.

As Diego admired the way to minds think so much alike, he couldn't help but want more. To see more. He is infatuated. The idea of the situation baffled him completely.

And Dimitri is not so different. He too is infatuated. Unable to keep his mind form wandering back to a woman who has a strong dislike to him and his mafia. Yet the constant rejection just attracts him more.

He admires the way her brain can become more accurate with advice in daring situations. He envies the way she has the respect of all three mafias with ease and never had to try to do so. The way she commands respect entrances him.

She's perfect.

Her opinion on him, however, is far more complicated. She thinks his way of changing the mafia is interesting. But hates his mafia for what happened to hers by their actions. She admires his talent in combat, yet she's only seen a small amount. She envies his ability to make those fear his name.

But right now, things are different than usual.

There's a war going on and three mafias are working together to keep an alliance together and stay alive.

With members trapped in a warehouse, and the others under attack from the enemy.

Who knows which half is the seconds and which is the hours.
