“All right, all right! I’m coming!”
Charlotte frowned. Who is this, ringing the doorbell as if he can’t wait a second longer? Thanks goodness the devil isn’t here. If she hears this…
Charlotte ran to the door. She was at home already.
It was still the same day, she just arrived home, and the devil left a note telling her she’s out.
Charlotte couldn’t ask for more. Without the devil in the house, she felt like in heaven. But now, the doorbell is ruining her freedom moment.
Charlotte opened the door. It was Cody.
“Co-Cody?” charlotte stammered. “You’re back?”
“Yeah.”Cody smiled, sadly.
“I-I didn’t know that you were coming back today?”
Cody smiled.
“I really don-“
Cody kissed charlotte.
“Hush for a moment will ya?” Cody kissed charlotte again, this time, much longer.
Charlotte smiled. She kisses Cody back.
Cody picked charlotte up and cradled her in his arms like a baby.
“I miss you.” Cody whispered in charlottes ears.
“I know. I miss you too.” Charlotte replied.
Cody kissed charlotte again, this time on the neck. He made a trail of kisses from her neck up to her lips.
“Cody. “Charlotte called, playfully.
“Mm-hhmm?”
Charlotte kissed him again. She wrapped her legs around Cody's waist, and kissed him hard.
“Okay I think that’s enough.” Cody chuckled. He hugged charlotte in his arms.
“Miss me?”
“Nah,” Cody joked. “You are the one who misses me.”
Charlotte smiled.
“True, but not quite.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“It means that you have some explaining to do.”
Cody frowned.
“Are we fighting?”
“No, why?”
“You want me to explain bout what?”
“Greyson. The kiss. Barbie.”
“Oh come-on!” Cody rolled his eyes. “This is about us, baby.”Cody kissed charlotte again on the neck. “Bout you and me. Let’s not talk about them okay.”
“look.” Charlotte breaks away from Cody's embrace. “Danielle is my friend. And she is very sick. I can’t stand seeing her cry. And she’s been crying for months.”
Cody shook his head and frowned.
“You say that bout Danny, the same goes to Greyson. He hasn’t been himself for the pass two three months.” Cody sighed. “I know he loves Danny, and you know Danny loves him. So why don’t they just make up?”
“It’s because Danny doesn’t wants to listen to Greyson's reasoning.” Charlotte said. “She doesn’t believe that grey didn’t cheat on her.”
“And why is that?”
“Because of the kiss you idiot.” Charlotte cried.
“Look, I forgot to tell you about the kiss.” Cody frowned again. “It was Barbie who pushed grey into the toilet and kissed him. Grey didn’t push her away because he didn’t realize yet at the moment what was happening. That’s when the picture was taken, by the CCTV camera.”
Charlotte remained silent.
“Danny doesn’t know this.”
“So?” Cody asked. “Comon charlotte I’ve just came back from three months not meeting you and all you talk about is this?”
“What?” Charlotte frowned. “What do you mean, all I talk about is this? Danielle Roberts is my friend, and FYI, she is pregnant, with Greyson’s baby, and she is about to give birth in less than four months!”
That shocked Cody. He remained silent. Not knowing what to say.
“That’s right. She’s pregnant. And you don’t know how hard she has to go to put up with it. You don’t know what she feels.” Charlotte said, almost in tears.
“I thought you would understand.”
Charlotte turn away from Cody and started to get back inside the house.
“No, Charlotte wait, wait!” Cody tried to grasp Charlotte’s hands.
“Let go off me!”
Charlotte pulled her hands away and walked inside. She slammed the door and locked it.
Cody, outside, was feeling more miserable than ever.
Charlotte pulled the curtains and ran upstairs to her room.
