Chapter 48

After the wedding ceremony, Greyson and Danielle headed outside the church to eat. The catering people has pitched big tents behind the church which under it they have put tables and foods for the guest.

A special table was prepared for Danielle and Greyson, just right in front of the stage with a podium on it.

As they were eating and laughing, the DJ announced something which neither Greyson nor Danielle heard.

“What did he said?” Danielle asked Greyson.

“No idea.” Greyson said, shrugging his shoulders.

Suddenly, everyone clapped, startling Greyson and Danielle.

Charlotte and Cody went up the stage and stood behind the podium.

“Hello everyone.” Charlotte talk into the mic. “I'm standing here today to say congratulations to my friend, Danielle Roberts.” Charlotte gestured at Danielle. Danielle smiled. Everyone clapped.

“It’s not easy to be her.” Charlotte continued, after the clapping stopped. “And it’s harder to be her friend. Everything that happened to her, from before she meet with Greyson, her problems, the accident, the gossip, all made me even depressed than Danielle herself. Because who would like people to do those things to their friend, right?”

Charlotte paused for a moment.

“I love her like a sister of mine. Never will I find a friend like her, anywhere. She was always ready to help me, always there whenever I need a shoulder to cry. All my problems, she will always be there beside me to help me fight it. And now she has her own family to take care of, I'm afraid that I would be left alone.” A tear fell down Charlotte’s eye.

“But whatever happens. I always wish the best for my friend, I love her and I will always wish the best for her.” Charlotte smiled. “To Danielle, the best friend a person could ever have.” Charlotte raised her glass.

Everyone raised their glass. “To Danielle.” They said with a chorus.

Danielle smiled, wiping a tear from her eye.

Then Cody took over the mic from Charlotte.

“Hello, I'm Cody and I'm Greyson’s friend.” Cody waved at everyone. “I could say that not many of you would recognize me.”

Everyone laughed.

“I have gotta tell you, I didn’t like Danielle at first.” Cody said, and then paused. “No offence.”

“None taken.” Danielle said, smiling.

“I just felt like she is one of the normal fans that would do anything just to talk to their idols. But Danielle, she’s a different kind of chick.” Cody smiled.

“She’s a nice and humble girl. The kind of girl that I believe could bring my friend to a happy ending that he has been looking for. Who could correct him when he is wrong and to show him what is right. And believe me, Greyson is a man who really needs a lot of correction.”

Greyson blushed. Danielle laughed.

“Greyson dude?” Cody called out.

“Yep?” Greyson answered from below the stage.

“Take hold of this chick and never let her go okay?” Cody asked.

“Got that.” Greyson smiled.

Everyone clapped their hands. Cody and Charlotte got off the stage.

As Charlotte passed Danielle’s table, Danielle stood up and hugged her as tight as possible.
