One week. Only one week and their performance would be assessed and evaluated in a possibly deadly mission. Rose sighed as she thought about the outcome. She was lying there in her room. It was a vast, almost limitless room, there were clouds every where and all of them had a shade of pink in them- they reminded rose of her favourite snack, cotton candy. The clouds gave the effect that you were flying, despite this, the room was spectacular. I need paper! Thought Rose and barely a second later- POOF!- Paper appeared next to her, in a pile made of the pink clouds that looked very delicious. Although, she was 100% certain the were inedible. With a jerk of her right arm, a pen appeared and without a moments hesitation, she bagan to write. 1: Obstacle course ( highest level of course), 2: Sparring session with Watermelon Tourmaline and Yellow Diamond. 3: Eat! (Electrolites only, just for the extra energy and of course cotton candy for desert), 3: Summon a weapon. After a few minutes, possibly hours of writing, Rose began to doubt the success of this mission. Firstly, she hasn't even been able to summon her weapon yet, let alone defeat a gem monster. But atleast she had Watermelon and 'Yell' by her side. She has known them all her life and she knows, deep in her heart that they will always help each other out in times of need. What could they be doing? Rose asked herself. Watermelon would probably be reading- she loved reading, it was her favourite past time ever since they were children.Watermelon would never leave the temple without proper reading material.Yell would be training un-end, she was a prodigy and probably the strongest out of all three. Although Yell was strong, Rose always knew that she had a happy, fun side- not just your average. serious and strict gem. An hour passed and she soon heard howling. Curiousity got the better of her of course, she is probably the most curious gem in all of the Homeworld- or so she says.

She pondered around the room for the pink, star shaped stone slab on the floor, or what was assumed to be the floor. She stood on the slab waiting for the gateway to open. The dials indicating the rooms morphed into the pink circle and the door opened. Outside, as if waiting for her, was Luna. Laughter filled Rose's mid as she thought of how silly this was! "Have you been naughty?" asked Rose in her usual, calming voice. The giant lion roared as if to say "No, of course not". "I'm guessing you want more Electrolite" Rose announced beaming at her communication skills. " Do not fret. I have loads in my room, come" and Luna followed.

Inside, Luna instantly made herself at home, she paced, ran, sprinted and even licked Rose's face! " Here you go! " Rose offered her hand full of Electrolites. Luna immediately ran to Rose, eating the chunks of gem food in her hand, knocking heer over. " Well you're a hungry fellow aren't you",cheered Rose. " You can stay here whenever and as long as your little heart desires" " But for now, we must prepare for tommorow's obstacle course" adviced Rose.

The following morning ::

"I heard footsteps last night" exclaimed Margaret. "None of you have better been taking a stroll outside, you all know how dangerous it is", she added on. Rose chortled. They were in the plains of the Amaro.

Green grass were everywhere and behind Margaret was the obstacles course, two of them. "Today, I will be your instructor while Tourmaline is away gathering the details on your mission" proposed Margaret. "The obstacle course will have two stages, River Rush and Pinnacle, both are fairly simple. In River Rush, you will have to steer a manboat while dodging blows and rocks. There will also be bots attacking you at every blindspot. In Pinnacle, you will have to swim up that mountain while boulders and rocks are thrown at your face. Lucky for you, I'm letting you pick your side." explained Margaret as if this was a good thing.

Which one? The three of them thought. For river rush, you would need to be a good multitasker. On the other hand Pinnacle would rely on your ability to swim and your accuracy.
"I choose River Rush" Rose announced. She was perfect at doing more that one thing at any given time.
"I'll do River Rush" dared Yell, she cast Rose a snicker as if daring to compete against her.
"I guess that means I'll have Pinnacle" Watermelon dared.
"Perfect! We have two rivers for Rose and Yellow Diamond" Margaret said happily.
The gems jogged to their respective starting lines.
"On your marks, get set, GO! "
