Toni POV
Lifetime approached me with a movie opportunity that I am pretty excited about. This movie is a love story and I never really done one of those, but I am not really sure how Bryan is going to feel about it because I have a couple of sex scenes in the movie. It's lifetime so it shouldn't be too provocative, but I know I have to do a lot of kissing and be topless. He's not a jealous man, but he's a little possessive and huge on respect so I don't want him to ever feel like I'm not considering his feelings. I discuss all my business decisions with him, not because I have to but because I want to. He's a great businessman, my best friend and most importantly my husband so I respect his point of view and input.
Bryan and Toni are at home laying in bed and Toni receives a phone call.
Toni: Hello...... Yes, when do you need a response by? .... okay, I will talk it over with Bryan and call you back.
Toni hangs up and leans over to caress Bryan's chest
Bryan: What is it babe, I know you up to something!
Toni: Wellll, that was my manager and lifetime wants me to do this movie and I'm debating on taking the deal or not.
Bryan: What's the debate? You love the network and you love making movies.
Toni decided to just come Right out and say it
Toni: The movie is about love and I have a few sex scenes in the movie. It's not real of course, but it may get a little uncomfortable.
Bryan: oh helllll fucking no! Ain't no debate story
Toni: I really want to do it.
Bryan sits up out of the bed and turns over to Toni to look in her eyes
Bryan: T, you ain't doing that shit. Why are you even considering it? Why would you do some shit like that?. Pick another movie, cause you ain't doing that one! Call your manager back and say no thank you!
Toni was annoyed because he was so dismissive and borderline controlling. She knew he had this arrogance in him but he's never been this vocal.
He's such an asshole sometimes- she thought
Toni: Babe, I really want to do this and challenge myself in a different direction. It's a job; why are you taking it so personal? And I don't like when you tell me what I'm not going to do. I respect myself, you and our marriage and I would never do anything to jeopardize that. I want to discuss it with you because you're my husband and I respect your opinion but I will make my own decisions.
Bryan gets up out of the bed and stands up to walk out the room.
Bryan: Well do what you want to do, why even tell me? Fuck it, do you! I ain't supporting that shit.
Bryan walks out the room and heads into the bathroom to take a shower.
Toni was so upset with his response that she got up and followed him to the bathroom
Toni: Why are you acting like this? We can have a conversation, just tell me what makes you uncomfortable. What don't you like?
Bryan: T, I'm done talking about this. Do whatever you want! Just know I ain't watching that shit and I'm not supporting it.
Toni: Okay, I hear you. So if you won't talk to me as your wife talk to be as your friend or someone in the business that you are giving advice to.
Bryan: You are pushing this conversation and I'm going to hurt your feelings so I suggest you drop it. Do what the fuck you want to do!
