Harry sat down at the library. He laid back and thought. Just then, something shifted under the table. He looked to see a book. He picked it up. "Didn't Emilia say this was her friend's?" Harry thought. He scanned through some of the pages. "It's blank..?" Harry thought. He scribbled a messy 'hi' on a page. 'Hello' the journal responded. Harry blinked to make sure he was seeing this right. 'Are you Tom Riddle?' Harry wrote. 'Yes' the journal replied. 'Can you tell me about the chamber of secrets?' Harry wrote. 'No' the journal wrote. Harry sighed and was fixing to close the book. 'But I can show you,' the journal added. Harry watched in awe as the journal lit up the whole room and changed the scene.

Harry found himself in a black and white version of Hogwarts. In front of him was a tall boy with dark hair and pale skin. "Are you Tom Riddle?" Harry asked. "Can you hear me? Hello?" He said. He realized this was just a memory. Nobody could see or hear him.

"Riddle." Dumbledore called and motioned for him to come closer. He walked up the stairs closer to Dumbledore. Harry watched intently. "It is not wise to be wandering about at this late hour." Dumbledore said. "Yes professor, I guess.. I just had to see for myself if the rumors were true." Tom said, feigning concern. "I'm afraid they are, Tom. They are true." The Professor replied. "And about the school as well?" Tom asked. "I don't have a home to go to.. they wouldn't really close Hogwarts, would they, Professor?"  "I understand Tom, but I'm afraid.. that we may have no choice.." said Dumbledore. "Sir if it all stopped.. if the person responsible was caught.."
Tom said. Dumbledore looked at him, scanning his face. "Is there something you.. wish to tell me?" Dumbledore asked. "No sir, nothing." Tom said politely. Dumbledore gave him a questioning look. "Very well then.. off you go." Dumbledore said. "Goodnight." Tom replied, and walked away.

"So it was Hagrid?!" Hermione asked as they sat at the library's table. "I don't think he did it on purpose." Harry added. "He does have a soft spot for monsters," Emilia chuckled. "So do you-" Hermione said. "I wasn't alive fifty years ago so you can't pin that on me-" Emilia muttered. "Y'know, Somebody should tell Hagrid that monsters don't make good pets." Emilia said. Harry paused and looked at Emilia. Something about what she just said sounded familiar. Like he's heard it from something or rather.. maybe someone before. Harry was going to ask Emilia about what she'd said, but he figured it must've been déjà vu or something, so he dismissed the whole thing. Emilia noticed Harry was staring at her and said something to cut through the awkward silence. "I'm sure Hagrid had good intentions, but we still have to get to the bottom of this."
