chapter 16: the mess 🥰

You woke up to the smell of fresh air. You opened your eyes to be greeted by beautiful gardens. How did i end up here you wondered, until it hit you.

"Omg," You breathed out. The pain ran through your body. Close to crying, you stood up and started walking back to the palace. You looked a mess, but you didn't care, you just wanted to back to earth, home.

(time skip)

You returned to your room and sat down on the bed. "Y/n are you all right," A soft voice spoke sitting down next to you. "You weren't at breakfast this morning," You turned your head to see Frigga. barely managing a smile, you nodded your head. You loved Frigga but at the moment you wish to be alone.

"Okay dear, i will ask the maids to send food for you" She said, and quickly left the room so you couldn't disagree. The door shut quietly and you sighed. Soon after a small girl entered the room holding a silver tray. On it laid your typical breakfast, you thanked the girl and she quickly hurried off.

Smiling to yourself, you started eating until the tray was empty. (i swear food fixes all of my problems)

You sank back into the bed and thought to your self, "i have nothing to do" You mumbled. To be honest, all you wanted to do was sleep and eat but you needed to do something practical.

You slowly left the comfort of your bed and walked to the library. Something to distract you, you thought. Walking through different hallways, there was always someone around, either cleaning, guarding important stuff or rushing around after the royal family.

Soon enough you reached the library. The library was very grand, with rows and rows of books, which were accompanied by a ladder. Paintings covered the roof, telling stories of battles and hero's.

Beautiful.

You made your way through the maze of books, until you found one which you would enjoy. Books in Asgard were different, they were mainly about real things, like no fairytales or enemies to lovers. It was just books like 'Cures to make at home' or 'All you need to know about a Thunderhead' (Btw i just made up Thunderhead and it is a dragon)

They were some of the exciting ones, the majority of the books were about wars and hero's. Nothing seemed to draw you in, so you carried on looking.

You kept looking until you found a book written by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. I wonder what this is doing here you thought. To be honest you didn't really care so you took the book over to a seat, and you sat down and read.

About an hour went by and you nearly finished it, you never actually managed to to read any books by William Shakespeare so it was a change, a good change.

Everything from last night had seem to be forgotten well almost. Yes you were heartbroken, but part of you still had a little bit of hope, like a small fire slowly growing. It had to work because you were soulmates right.

But then your mind ran back to Romeo and Juliet, the ending. Perfect for each other, but both gone. Maybe this wasn't meant to be. You thoughts were interrupted by a small cough.

"Y/n do you remember us talking about your mother being here?" You turned around to see the owner of the voice, Tony.

"Yeah why," You say.

"Do you want to meet her, kid?" He asked you, you nodded and realised a breath you didn't know you were holding. He smiled at you and wrapped his arm around your shoulder.

"She is just outside," He spoke as he led you out of the library, you were surprised you didn't get lost.

Tony opened the door to reveal her, your mother...

this one is kinda short i will be writing longer ones in the future i just wanted to upload the story now because i feel like i have been keeping you guys waiting for too long
