Emma

We make our way downstairs and Killian sits down. I go to sit by his side when I notice Captain Hook glaring. What now? He looks pointedly towards Killian and I grin. Killian looks at my glee and Hook's irritation before he realises what's happened. He tries to stammer but I push him back down into his seat, frustrating the pirate more. "Gentlemen, gentlemen, this can all be solved very easily." I laugh, waving my hand and conjuring a second seat. I also make my husband's slightly wider so we can both sit there comfortably without trying desperately to conceal our urges to rip each other's clothes off. Whilst undoubtedly there was nothing on my husband's body that Hook hadn't seen or that he wouldn't later see on mine; I think we both wanted a bit more dignity in this scenario.

"Hold up, hold up," Killian teased, kissing my neck playfully as his arm dragged my body into his embrace. "Thought these were Captain's seats. Didn't think the bed-warmer was supposed to use it."

"Bed-warmer, huh?" I joke just as much. "You'll be lucky if you don't find yourself sleeping on the floor, Captain. Couch might be too comfortable." I kiss him again before giving a girly squeal of giggle that was so unlike me and we turned our attentions to the awkward pirate who looked more interested in a bottle of rum. "Here," I say, handing something to him. "Captain Morgan. You'll prefer this."

"Oi, babe! That's my rum!" Killian whines and I fight the desire to kiss his adorable pout. Jeez, Emma, being married has changed you.

"Well," Hook says taking a swig. "You're right about one thing. This is bloody delicious."

"You must have questions," Killian says, following his game of not quite looking at each other. "Ask away. Anything at all."

"What's her assets, then? What's so much better than Milah; because she was bloody–"

Killian growls and I'm slightly afraid. "DON'T YOU BLOODY DARE OFFEND MY WIFE LIKE THAT!" He sits back in his seat, hook still bared. "Emma is perfect, Hook. Brilliant; she's my... our... dream girl. When you meet her, your life will... well, it'll just be complete. Milah is my past, Hook, and I've not thought of her as more than a reason for revenge in years. Bloody True Love."

"Killian, honey, it's okay." And it is. I know that Hook means sex, that Milah was good in bed. She probably was, her son was. But like I have a past with Neal, Killian does Milah and we are perfectly capable of loving each other (and having sex with each other) without our previous loves coming up... unless we're snuggled up watching TV (NOT having sex) when Henry comes in. That is a stark reminder of Neal. Killian even got another tattoo after the wedding, on his chest, above his heart. It matches the memorial for Milah but this time it hasn't got the Dark One dagger and it has my name there. 'Emma. My True Love.' as opposed to the edit on his wrist that reads: 'Milah. My First Love.'

"It's not. It really isn't..." Killian breathes, snarling at himself as I run my hand over his short beard, encouraging relaxation through him.

"I'm sorry, lass. I see I really do love you, more than I did her, I think. I guess I never expected I could forget her."

"It's nothing. And you're right, you love me to no end. I'm so glad I'm ending up with you." Killian growls again. This is going to be a long chat... "Shall I sum up why were here and how we got here?"

"Yes." He says, twiddling with his hook in a way that I know so well. "That might be a good idea."

"So, we got married just over ten months ago in a quaint little town called Storybrooke. This is... a different town to what you know. It's in the Land Without Magic and it's a whole story of how we all got there but we did, like I mean there's magic wardrobes and dark curses and strange protection shields and magic hats and beans, anyway, it took time but we fell in love and we got married with everyone we love."

"Swan and I found out we were expecting," Killian continues, his hand playing mercilessly with my side. "For nine months life was perfect. We had each other, our friends. Swan's family, which may I add is massive. Seriously, babe, you're all interrelated or something." I laugh. I'd tried plotting the family tree over my pregnancy and I was impressed with where I'd gotten but Wow. "I mean it, mate. You think you have no-one now, but wait for Emma Swan and you'll never be alone in the world."

He looked skeptical, a strange look that told me he had no real belief. I laughed and he stared in confusion. "Basic run down: meet me, the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. The Evil Queen wants to curse everyone and she manages with the help of the Crocodile. The blue Fairy aids Snow White and Prince Charming in building a magic wardrobe to take me and who should have been my mother into safety. It's not Mom because Geppetto cheats and sends his son, Pinocchio through but that's okay because Pinocchio and me become best friends. Fast forward until I'm eighteen and I'm dating a young man called Neal Cassidy, who I'm not aware is actually a young lad called Baelfire, sound familiar?

"I have a child with Neal, but August, that's Pinocchio, tells Bae that I'm the Saviour so therefore he needs to break up with me so that I have no excuse not to return to my family. Mr Gold, or your Crocodile, is secretly teaching Regina the curse to find his son which is miraculous because Neal wants to find his father, so Bae needed me to break the curse. Neal and I did illegal things and I was arrested and imprisoned. I believed it was a set up from Neal so I never see him again and don't tell him about his son that I give up.

"Fast forward ten years and I find a ten year old boy on my doorstep claiming to be my son. The boy takes me to Storybrooke where I learn he was adopted by The Evil Queen, or as we call her the Mayor. Everyone's cursed, yada yada, I break the curse. End up through a magic hat with my Mom and end up here and we meet you and Cora, the Evil Queen's mother." I take a breath after rattling all that off in a minute. He looks painfully at the end of his rum. "It'll take me too long to continue, but we have a damn hectic life. Oh not to mention my friend, she's the real Queen of Arendelle, is my almost adoptive mother's niece. And said almost adoptive mother tried to kill half the town apart from myself and Queen Elsa."

"Sounds it... Wait hold up... my future step-son is my ex-girl's grandson? I need more rum."

We've definitely ran out.

"Anyway," Killian takes control again. "We're here because someone set up a weird time portal thing, and my wife died."

"She's bloody sat in front of me."

"Well, yes, but our Mr Gold woke me up and then struck a deal. He kidnapped our baby girl and made us sign to think about getting her back. He hasn't given us any information so we're heading to his castle to find him. It's empty now because my parents locked him up and Regina has imprisoned his... housekeeper."

"Well, you're not doing it alone." Hook says. "It's my daughter too, isn't it? We're going to get her back together. Now, Captain, get your disguise back on, I'm in need of a more competent mate. Surely you remember how idiotic Smee can get."

Killian grins.
