Cheryl hates that they have to part ways in the parking lot and barely communicate all day. They had only one class together a week, so they only managed to see each other during lunch. And even there, Blossom could not take the girl's hand, kiss her, although she desperately wanted to. But Tony's stupid rule, "we're not dating, and no one should know about our connection," applied to the school in full.
There was almost no one in the parking lot, so as soon as Cheryl got off the bike, she walked up to Toni, placing her palm on the back of her neck and turning her around. She bit her plump lip between her snow-white teeth, gently stroking Topaz's neck. After taking another look around the parking lot, Cheryl leaned over, scorching the lips of the girl opposite with her breath.
- Is this normal? - It wasn't normal at all. Yes, they had sex, they did a lot. But their constant kisses said a lot, and not only about the primal passion. Cheryl felt like she was flying in the seventh heaven every time their mouths touched, when her tongue competed with Tony's. To tell the truth, Toni should have been against it, because she did not consider such connections seriously, but she did not refuse at all, most often, placing gentle kisses all over the red-haired woman's face. This gave Cheryl some hope that Tony also had feelings, she was just afraid to show them.
- Are you kidding? - Toni leaned over, catching Cheryl's lower lip with her teeth and pulling slightly. She pulled her into a deep kiss, fully turning around on the motorcycle. Blossom stood comfortably between her friend's legs, placing both palms on her cheeks.
Toni's fingers traced her ribs over the fabric, crumpling the snow-white blouse. Topaz did not remember when she bought this classic piece of clothing, which did not suit her style at all. She was sure she hadn't worn a blouse once, but she certainly looked like Cheryl. Although everything looked great on her.
– My things look good on you. - Toni pulled away, touching her nose to the redhead's nose. Her eyelashes were fluttering and her lips were slightly swollen. She seems to have deliberately not applied the bloody lipstick, anticipating that it would smudge from their persistent kisses.
- Everything looks good on me. - Cheryl grinned, smacking Tony on the lips once more, gently stroking her cheekbones with her thumbs. - But I agree.
Blossom was so worried about confessing her feelings to Toni. They were so good together that it was stupid to think that some labels would destroy it. But Toni was afraid of exactly this, which she never admitted, because with labels come obligations.
- See you at lunch?
- Topaz? - Cheryl jumped back, frantically wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Toni snorted as she jumped off the bike and went to the trunk to get her backpacks. Two guys from the Southern Serpents Gang were making their way through the parking lot right towards them. Blossom was scared, because they could tell someone that they had caught them together. But Toni wouldn't let that happen, would he?
Toni came close to Cheryl, tucking a couple of curls behind her ear and holding out her briefcase.
She winked, giving Cher a reassuring smile. - See you later.
Cheryl nodded, hurrying to leave the parking lot, but before going into the school, Blossom turned around. Toni was standing face to face with a tall guy, whose name, I think, was Sweet Pea. She raised her head proudly and was talking to him about something. The last thing Cheryl wanted was to bring this beautiful girl problems, but she couldn't help her with these guys. After all, they were Tony's best friends, and Cheryl hoped they wouldn't disown her because of her connection.
- Are you fucking kidding? - Sweet Pea came close to Toni, which didn't scare her at all. She clenched her fists, proudly raising her head to listen to all his claims. - It's not enough that you drag her around cafes, you completely forget about the gang because of her, so now you're also fucking? How low have you fallen, Toni?
- Hey, what the fuck? - Toni grinned, pushing the guy in the shoulder.
- Don't you have enough Southside whores?
- Are you attracted to rich snobs?
- First of all, it's none of your business, you bastard. - Toni was really angry, which made Fangs try to put his hand on her shoulder, but she waved it away.
- Secondly, I don't want to see you again until you get your head out of your ass.
Topaz pointedly turned away, taking her things and putting the helmets she and Cheryl used in the trunk.
- You became such a slob when you started hanging out with her. You don't have to ask me for help when she does something worthy of a bitch like her.
Sweet Pea growled, kicking a beer can lying under his feet. Toni could hear him moving away, but she didn't hear Fogarty move.
- Hey, baby.
- What do you want?
Fangs took a deep breath, ruffling his hair.
- He's just worried about you. The war between the sides of the city is gaining momentum, and we don't want you to be faced with a choice.
- We're not dating, okay? We're just friends who can have a good time. And don't tell me I might get hit. I remember you hanging out with Midge Klump recently?
- This is different. - Toni chuckled. Well, of course. For guys, everything is always different. She hated being a girl in this gang so much because no one put her in anything, even though she was a dynasty. After all, it was her grandfather and his followers who founded this gang, and then the likes of F.P. and Jughead Jones found themselves in power, completely forgetting about the roots. Topaz could claim power, but who would allow a seventeen-year-old girl to control an army of men? It was funny. So now she also has to put her personal life up for gang approval, or what?
- There is nothing else in it. Yes, Cheryl and I are close not just as friends. But she understands and accepts that there are no obligations on us. We can part at any moment, and no war will prevent us.
Topaz ungodly lied to a friend, realizing this with her mind and heart. Leave Cheryl? After what she gained by being with her? Fuck this war and this gang, which, under the leadership of puppy Jones, has turned into a bunch of nerds who are fond of board toys and from time to time peddling drugs to earn money. This gang had never been her family, and if Sweet Pea and Fungs turned their backs on her just because Cheryl was from the Northside, they weren't her family.
- Toni…
- The conversation is over!
