Memories of Grom

Luz and Amity were enjoying a peaceful night at the library hideout talking and laughing.

It's been almost 1 month since they started dating. These girls had never been a relationship before. They didn't know if they were ready at first, but this relationship was worth the risk. So they asked each other out. Now here we are, a month later both girls were the happiest they could ever be. In each other's arms with no one to bother them.

Luz has been having something on her mind though. She started to like Amity when she saved her from her parents abomination right? Maybe even longer. So when exactly DID Amity start liking Luz?

"Hey Ams?" Luz spoke softly, looking into Amity's eyes. Amity came a bit flustered but she hummed in response.

"When, exactly did you start developing a crush on me. And how did you know?"

Amity was not expecting that question for sure. It be kinda embarrassing to answer since it was so long ago.

"Amity?"

"Oh what? Sorry I spaced out umm.... maybe back when you saved my siblings from the Slitherbeast?"

"What?! That long!?!? I barely realized I liked you when you saved me from your parents abomination..." Luz confessed feeling a little embarrassed for asking.

"But, the moment it became clear I liked you was when we were trying to restore willows memories. You were just so hopeful and— confidence. I found that enchanting." Amity finished embarrassed.

Luz was now a blushing mess as well. Also a little surprised Amity had liked her for a really, long time. And after a bit of thinking, she realized something too.

"Then... does that mean— I was the one your wanted to ask to grom?" Luz said in a hopeful tone.

"Wait, you're barely realizing that now?" Amity said. But Luz only waited for a response.

"Yes Luz. Of course it was you I wanted to ask to grom." She said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Luz on the other hand was shocked, mostly happy it was her all along, but just as shocked.

"So... you were afraid to get rejected by me?" Luz asked shifting the atmosphere in the room.

"Well, y-yeah,"

"Why?" Luz asked sadly.

"Well because you're perfect Luz. You're absolutely incredible and I didn't think that someone as sweet and nice as you could ever like someone like me." Amity said getting a bit uncomfortable. But they were gonna have to address this someday.

" Why would you ever think that Amity? If anything, how can you like someone like me? You're the top student at Hexide. You're smart, cool, classy, and just everything about you is amazing. God even your laugh is perfect. I can't believe you were scared of asking ME out Ams." Luz laughed, painfully.

Amity could see Luz trying to hide her feelings but she didn't want to upset her more and ask so she just hugged her.

Luz was taken back but slowly hugged her back. Both girls taking in their warmth and just relaxing into each others arms.

"You know I would've said yes right?" Luz said.

"Well I know that now." Amity laughed.

Luz just listened and smiled. Amity's laugh always seemed to calm her nerves. Almost like a beautiful melody.

"I love you." Luz said while resting in her shoulder.

"I love you too Luz." Amity smiled and leaned on Luz as well. Both girls falling into a quiet and peaceful sleep.
