Dying Song (poetry)

Kill Me Softly TW

As we were talking,
Oh, we were talking,
I was slowly sinking,
Itching, screaming and god I was bleeding.
Filling up my lungs,
Just pouring out like love.

I don't know how deep you plunged that knife
But bones broke, muscles snapped
Fingers traced scars and you twisted it deeper.

Take all there is inside,
Claw the flesh from my ribs,
Show me what you look like,
Just how dark it really is
Inside those eyes I saw something,
It shook me to the core,
I knew right then I was more than just your victim.

My eyes grew darker,
Oh, so much darker now,
And more than I have ever wanted
I pressed you close to me
So you can feel my heart stopping, but just for you, only for you,
All this blood all for you,
And as I bleed through my clothes,
It sinks into your skin.

Together as one, just as you wanted.
You've eaten me up and I'll be haunting
The corners of your mind,
Just latching onto your conscience.
You wear my bones around your neck,
I'll be something you never forget.
